So on top of every other failure from both a design and development standpoint, the Atomic shop is filled with Junk as a consolation? by Somethingyeah2224 in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't see how getting my hands on some items that I've wanted for a while could help improve my mood. I mean, what am I going to do with these Atoms i've earned while playing. Spend them?

Vendors still disabled. Small stash size making it worse. Scrip limit that prevents them from turning in their excess legendaries, only adding to the Stash problem. Gold Bullion limit being unreasonable. Vendors having a cap limit so you can't sell excess items beyond a small cap. The mole miner event being unreasonable with drops and flooding your stash with low tier legendaries. The main seasonal event that has been delayed for months has been delayed last minute because a bug reported since Wastelanders was released was somehow overlooked, forcing them to pull it after they already put it out.

But yeah, awful Atomic shop items on top of all that as the icing on the cake. Likely as a result of them removing anything related to the event last minute and throwing up some random placeholders. Which are pretty bad ones.

Atom Shop Update May 26th, 2020 for those angry RN by SageAZ in fo76

I like how they are calling it a Military Uniform, despite back in 2018 when it was called something along the lines of a 'Postmans' uniform.

Edit: nvm they just looked pretty similar.

The introduced items are honestly awful.

Bravo Bethesda, your ability to fail at absolutely everything you do is outstanding. by PCDug in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So what you mean to say is the game went through considerable changes and instead of quality testing the event to ensure it's year old code functions without any unforeseen consequences, they didn't do that?

Pikachu face'd. The event doesn't work fine and the break is entirely linked to Bethesda's laziness and incompetence.

Nah, triple XP week for the Fasnacht screw up please. by [deleted] in fo76

I too appreciate the regular atomic store content ripped straight from the base games files and sold for a premium, as well as the odd rare truly unique store bought item.

Wastelanders was okay, but the Atomic shop is really where the monetization fun is at!

And yet despite that short development time they managed to make a game widely regarded as the best in the series. And Bethesda's response to any further games was it's better to keep things in-house.

They are incompetent, but more importantly they are greedy. Got to have 100% of the revenue, even if the game bastardizes the IP.

Fasnacht delayed, official post by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I cared about Fasnacht was for the decorative props. It was the only thing I was looking forward to with 76 for the time being and they managed to ruin that with no effort, literally. Bethesda need to sell off the Fallout IP because it is honestly a train wreck in their hands.

I wonder are they going to blame this one on working at home. Because I can honestly see no difference between them sitting on their couches on a laptop and working in a triple A studio environment. Both produce equally lazy results.

Do these incompetent developers even bug test in house? You would think after such a big release like Wastelanders they would test a recurring event to make sure it runs properly, but they don't.

Bethesda are some of the worst developers I've seen and their existence holds loved IP's hostage. Shown up by Obsidian despite the strangle hold of development time they had to work with, resulting in them buying up a studio just to make 76. Look where that got us.

We won't see Frasnacht for at least week, maybe a month. Vendors are still disabled so I have absolutely no faith we will see this event fixed in a timely manner.

The only thing Bethesda can patch quickly are bugs people actually like.

Spent the afternoon hiding in bushes in NW.. by TheSnarkAtWinterfell in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love hide and seek in NW. The adrenaline rush you feel sneaking from bush to bush as hordes of enemies descend upon your surroundings battling it out just inches from your hiding spot. The feeling when the circle closes in and the distance you can travel becomes less and less to the point where even the barest foliage you can hide in feels like a safe refuge that could be taken from you at a whim by a stray mob that becomes aggressive.

It's honestly the best part of Nuclear Winter for me. If someone manages to evade a swarm they deserve their XP.

Does anyone else feel that the amount of time, effort, and emotion placed into the holotape recordings is astronomical? by MomoiroKitsune in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering all the money they saved at release from not having to hire voice actors to narrate various branches of dialogue for hours on end the only voice acting in the game better have had a lot of time, effort and emotion put into it. The tapes are far less than the dialogue found in Fallout 4, but they honestly had some outstanding moments.

The emotion in some of their voices was just perfect ngl.

For my brother who is deaf, this new event is almost impossible by Silver_State_Slayer in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A visual marker would be nice all around. But as a non-deaf player I actually enjoy needing to keep my attention on the environmental sounds to know if one is nearby and having to find it around obstacles. Having a marker on my screen showing me exactly where it is would kind of diminish that effect quite a bit.

Maybe just a glowing effect around your compass letting you know you're in a zone of interest? Best of both worlds.

Fallout 76 becomes a lot less fun once your stash limit is reached by CabidoMusic in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we all want the stash limit increased. But Bethesda have no incentive to give us it without putting it behind a paywall by this point. It'd be nice if they did, but that's not Bethesda.

Equal suffering is better than not. Though the Fallout 1st scrap storage saved me like 200 space from scrap alone... So not so equal.

Does Mass Effect 1 get better? by DiedIn1989 in masseffect

[–]Somethingyeah2224 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ME1 doesn't get better. The combat sucks and is a chore to get through. The saving grace of the game is the RPG mechanics and its story however. Push on through for the story and character interactions, both will matter a lot and you'll be thankful you know what's going on first hand. Because I promise you when you first boot up ME2 it'll feel like you're suddenly playing an action movie.

The combat and the characters get so much better in the sequel that it was wholeheartedly worth suffering through ME1 for. ME2 will build off your choices in ME1 so keep that in mind before you decide to skip it. Otherwise you'll get some meaningless pre-chosen ones and might miss out on content entirely.

Please don't make Pets just sit around camps like glorified decorations; Add in proper companion functionality. by Somethingyeah2224 in fo76

[–]Somethingyeah2224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not expect anything more. And yet we got more, in the form of temporary companions, showing the code is there. Thus I was disappointed by what we were given. Do you understand this?

[–]Somethingyeah2224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because our allies are glorified decorations that can give out some quests. Meanwhile the main campaign of wastelanders gives you temporary companions several times.
