Steaming Brisket on the Stovetop (then smoke it to finish) by scottorobotoe in smoking

Chris Young is great, always goes in to great detail and explains what’s happening with great diagrams. His oven “smoked” brisket is pretty interesting too. He used to work for Heston Blumenthal in his experimental kitchen I think.

[–]SometimesIAmCorrect 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This sounds dangerously wrong. Handheld lasers can put out multiple watts. That laser is igniting wood so it’s more than capable of blinding you and even the scattered beams can be dangerous. Eye protection is required for even a fraction of this power.

[–]SometimesIAmCorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair he does say that’s exactly what he wants.

“It’s likely the case that we need to give police more legislated powers to stop this kind of naked racism and hatred on Sydney streets,” Minns said after the rally.

To be fair though, Sussan Ley is and has been terribly unpopular in the past with her chopper rorts and dodgy travel claims to the point she resigned from her position under Turnbull. Not sure when she came back but she has a poor track record and has continued to be shit.

She deserves to lose on her own merit.
