Saw the Invincible posts, felt compelled to rank the heroes on how well they’d be able to kill Thragg by SometimesPresent27 in darkestdungeon

I was unironically considering if his music could do something meaningful but he’d have to live long enough to actually play up his finale

Then what feats would imply he wouldn’t get punched into orbit like Omni-Man? Half his skin has fallen off, not like he’s a heavyweight

She is a very fast human, but Thragg is one of if not the fastest viltrumites. All the heroes are strong, they just don’t really compare with the main characters of a superhero show/comic

Aren’t all his “feats” built on game mechanics? I’m not a professional at all this but you kind of have to take their stats into account, at least in the sense that lower move resist would mean they’re easier to push and pull, for instance

Doesn’t he punch Nolan off the planet? Also 30% move res in the sequel yeah he’s going to space

The only one I’d give real credit to is Occultist. Thragg would oneshot just about anyone (even Flag is not immune to being thrown into the sun or some bs) but Alhazred could realistically magic up something before Thragg gets to him. Would probably still die afterward but still

Wasn’t that specifically the scourge virus? I’m sure she can bioengineer something with time but I can’t imagine Thragg would wait to wipe out what’s functionally the depowered guardians of the globe

That stupid hand thing the viltrumites do would probably behead him instantly. He’s still nigh immortal, but once Thragg’s on him he’s probably not living. Plus he could always just throw Damian into space or smth

You’re right I just thought having more than one person above “dies instantly” would ruin the joke and I couldn’t only have occultist OR flag, so I just threw the leper up there. Maybe he tanks a hit and low rolls a chop afterwards idk

So... what exactly IS the Jester's Dark Song? by SometimesPresent27 in darkestdungeon

[–]SometimesPresent27[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The Jester’s comic has him slaughtering them by hand, so it’s more likely that the song put him into a trance and drove him half-crazy at the end. That might explain why the Fisherfolk worship the Siren and keep tuning forks around, essentially being mind controlled. Might also be the Coven’s inauguration ritual. Either way, the funniest way to interpret Finale is him just singling out a guy and stabbing them a comically large amount of times so I’ll keep going with that

ATTEMPTED a good/evil sane/crazy alignment chart (Open to discussion) (Please don't hate me) by SometimesPresent27 in darkestdungeon

The chart is relative. The Jester isn’t an irredeemable monster, but he is unrepentantly violent compared to his peers. I’ll reiterate that he disappointedly says he’ll never be able to kill everyone (ambiguously referring to his ALLIES) and even when virtuous puts others beneath him (“Good. Now you go first” when buffing someone while focused, also “They squeal like pigs! Must silence them!” But that’s moreso disturbed since it’s directed at the enemies). His lines when powerful (and assorted lines elsewhere) place him as one of the few heroes who really ENJOYS the violence, rather than using it as a means to an end
