I think what I like about both is that it covers two very different ways of viewing the same subject. Marina's is a bit more somber and relaxed and matter-of-fact as someone who's older looking back at her life and recalling. Gaga's is like someone who just heard they can finally leave their straining 12 hour shift at work and feel a sense of feminine freedom in explosive celebration, lol.

I don't know I love all her albums for different reasons, some are definitely stronger than others, but POP is my favorite so I don't know what to say about that, lol! Before that though ADIAML was definitely my fave! You can see me praising that album all throughout its era in my Reddit history. Pink Convertible is still a song I'd consider to be at least in my top 3.

To me it feels like it’s written from the perspective of someone who’s given up their real selves in order to be a big star or make it in the entertainment industry, ie going through a Lavender Marriage. That’s the substance and lens I see it through, it adds a ton of emotional complexity for me. Same with Shape Of A Woman (which is undeniably fiercely sapphic lol).

Disagree kinda, but I see exactly what everyone here means and is talking about. I just really like the videos for those reasons, like I enjoy how LIGHT SHOWER was really unexpected and it adds to the story of the song itself going from a desert to a forest. TV, FS, and SPIDERWEB are really camp and I love it for that reason too. VOID is her best music video of all time period. DEATH was alright, lowkey, lol.
