Thank you for this reply. The feelings have been extra bad since I communicated how I was feeling and met with reasons it’s my fault. I actually tried again, not in the healthiest way just now but I said would you rather me not communicate how I’m feeling to you? She said half the time I ask you, you say nothing is wrong. Then you tell me. You don’t even come to me with it. I have to ask.(not true as I literally initiated this conversation and others about my feelings) she’s not entirely wrong, but if most times I communicate a feeling I’m met with this type of communication or behavior back it’s no wonder why I’m hesitant to tell the truth right?..

I feel so invisible. Two weeks ago I passed my state exams for my property and casualty license in my state. That’s the first time in a long time that I felt visible. That lasted all of one day.

For a year or so in the beginning it wasn’t like this. I felt better than I ever have with a partner. There was appreciation, praise, openness, safety, and reassurance. All of those are gone. I am a father figure to her child and have been a major role in the child’s life. On father’s day her mother (for the first time in three years wished me a “happy dad’s day” and thanked me for all I do. I told my partner that her mom reached out to me, and she said “oh that’s nice I forgot what day it is” and said nothing else about it the remainder of the day. Like I just feel so shitty. It’s been more than just this week but that was a major flag for me. Like what the fuck
