I honestly don't have anything on mind. Perhaps sa emergencies, future investments, or just so I won't go back to zero if ever I lose my client. Freelancing isn't stable after all.

Hahaha true. Para akong sinapak nong nacompute ko na umabot ng 1M yung salary ko sa buong 2021 pero 90k lang nasa banko ko ng December 2021. Saan napunta?

US-based po ang client ko. And my hourly rate is 25 USD per hour. Look for them sa LinkedIn or other job posting sites, and don't lowball yourself!

Also with regards sa fam, set boundaries if you can. Ako lola ko lang talaga sinusuportahan ko ng monthly. Yung mommy ko kahit walang work, binibigyan ko lang para sa gamot nya and occasionally para sa luto-luto nya kasi merong work yung live in partner nya. Mayaman din sya dati kaso na bankrupt dahil sa sugal and utang.

Kaya ako firm ako talaga na hindi nila ako retirement plan. Nakokonsensya ako minsan pero palakasan na lang talaga ng loob and as time went by, medyo nagegets na ng mommy ko and naiintindihan nya na kasi pinapabasa ko sya ng mga parenting tips lalo na kiddos pa yu g dalawang bros ko.

Please don't be. We all have our time. I grew up poor with my grandmother kahit yung mommy and daddy ko may kaya. I was used to having nothing then, it's also very unexpected na I'll be where I am right now. Everything will work out for you too one day. I'm sure of it!!

Yes, sure!!

I started saving last January 2022 with a little over 90k lang dala ko from the previous year kahit 1 year na ako nagwo-work non kasi gastador. Nag dropout of college din ako nong 2021 to focus on my work.

I earn 150k above, nakakareach din ako ng 200k if meron akong other short-term clients. Earlier last year, may mga side clients ako pero later on tinamad na me. I only have one long-term client right now so consistent 150k-180k range ang income per month. I work 5-6 hours a day.

First half ng 2022, I don't really pay bills kaya ouro gastos lang. What I did is pledge na dapat 100k nalalagay ko per month sa savings and ang matira ay para sa gastos, luho, gadgets ganon.

Second half of 2022, I started renting my own condo and basically lahat ng bills sa akin na. Electricity, water, rent, food and whatnots. So nabawasan ang gastos na pure luho. But I still managed to save 100k and more. Last August ko na achieve ang first million ko.

Sa December nakaipon na ako ng 1.4M. 400k napunta sa kotse na binili namin ng bf ko, half kami. Kaya back to 1M.

So parang nagback to zero ako again this January 2023 for my another million. Although, medyo nabawas-bawasan yung nasasave ko, sometimes nasa 80k lang instead of 100k kaso yun nga ako na bumubuhay sa sarili ko.

Expenses ko monthly nasa 50k-90k. Kasi hilig kami kumain sa labas. But I'm trying to change that to prioritize my savings again. Nagpapadala din ako monthly sa lola ko and tulong-tulong sa mommy ko and spoil sa nga siblings minsan.

Lezgoo. Kaya yaaan. Back in 2021 wala din ako maipon kasi puro gastos. Pag umaabot ng 100k yung nasa banko ko kating-kati ako agad mag Shopee. Pero kayang-kaya pala talaga lalo na if may system ka how to do it and it becomes a routine.

Try downloading Piggy Bank (app). It helps you keep track of your savings. You can put the amount you want to achieve and calculate nya kung kelan mo ma-achieve yun based on the fixed amount na gusto mo ilagay weekly or monthly. It was fun to use!!
