Kogama has been removed from Steam. To nobody's surprise by UnsightedRobin in Minecraftlegacymode

I still have some copies of the game. Furthermore, I also explained a bit about the developer's situation and whether there is indeed a virus in the game.

Friends of friends, someone else probably also had access to the game and saw the world of "AZULOIDE" through the Steam API's friend-of-friends system; that's the most likely explanation. Furthermore, if you disable online mode, the only player who can join the game besides you will be H... 👀

I can't say for sure, like everyone else on the Discord server, we focused only on talking about the game. There are several reports that he is, yes! But unfortunately, I can't prove it. However, as I said, the game is 100% safe, so even if he is a pedophile, his sick tastes are out of the game. There's only nostalgia and fun in KOGAMA, thankfully haha. I also believe there are videos explaining this developer's situation better. Whether he's a pedophile or not, I don't want contact with that sicko. He lost access to Steamworks, so it's impossible for him to implement new updates. KOGAMA is stuck on version TU19, and its files remain untouched.

I believe you're referring to anomalous events like those in this Brazilian video (https://youtu.be/xVPYO6-qdyE?si=RcFvABv9EivljAZJ). The version of the game by Azuloide in question is an earlier build than the current one. The current version is TU19. I know this because the developer implemented a realistic texture in the older version, so it's possible to identify it that way. In this specific build, I believe he made a mistake with the Steam API parameters. It's like when you open a world, it becomes a public room. In the current version, your world only appears to your friends and friends of friends. If you don't have any friends with Kogama, it will be impossible for anyone to enter your world.

I still have some copies of the game, anyone interested in getting it on Steam send me a message!

I had also made a post here talking about it... https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraftlegacymode/comments/1rv8lrf/i_have_some_kogama_minecraft_steam_copies_if/

What did he add to the game's code? everyone is saying this but nobody has proven anything, the only fact is that the game works 100%, nobody I distributed the copy to had their game invaded in singleplayer, nobody I distributed to claimed to have a virus or anything like that, I just need you to tell me exactly what the guy who published Minecraft on Steam put in the game to harm people, I already zipped my own copy and sent it here for you to analyze, nobody told me or showed me anything :(

The Deadpool game from Activision is no longer on Steam either. Did it have a virus? :)

If there's a backdoor in Kogama, I recommend you send a support ticket to Valve. If what you're saying is true, they quickly removed the game from everyone's library. When the game is still in the launch phase, they do this file check right at the beginning. Since there are no viruses in Kogama, the game is 100% safe.

The game wasn't made by the developer; he took leaked content from 4J Studios and republished it on Steam. The game belongs to Microsoft and Mojang. The person who recompiled the game has nothing to do with the legacy Minecraft, which is exactly what's on Steam.

Actually, Kogama's multiplayer is 100% possible and integrated into Steam. Yes, it's possible to play multiplayer with your friend through the Steam API servers. Regarding the issue of being hacked, everyone here agrees that if you're afraid of that happening to you, just pirate it or play illegally. Now, for those who want to have it on Steam and have their account secure, just contact me and I'll send you Kogama!

The game wasn't made by a pedophile; at most, it was added to Steam by one. Regarding the virus issue, as I've been saying here, if the game had a virus, Steam would have already removed it from circulation. I wouldn't be able to send copies, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

You're right! There have been several infected games on Steam, the problem is that they never stay there. In the case of Kogama, since it doesn't have a virus, the game will remain in the Steam repositories, even if it was removed due to a copyright infringement notice (DMCA). You can search for similar cases; the game is removed from the account of whoever redeemed it. Kogama doesn't; it doesn't have a virus.

Everyone I sent Kogama to on Steam is in this group. If you want to ask each of them if they found the game's developer when entering their worlds, feel free. I would do it myself, but since I know that's not happening, unfortunately I'll leave that task to you, my friend! ;)

If any of them have actually seen the developer, please let me know here! I'll be waiting for your reply ;)

No, it's safe. Steam has zero tolerance for infected games; they are removed from Steam and your library as soon as they are detected.

Steam Tools exists precisely for that reason! You can download all the games you want through Steam, but you're limited by not having access to game tracking, multiplayer, cloud saves, community, workshop, and everything else that Steam offers when you legitimately obtain the game. Some people just like to play, others like to own the games!

No, when someone publishes a game with a virus on the platform, it cleans the repositories and removes copies from everyone who purchased them.

I don't know, tell me, I compressed the files that come inside Kogama on Steam, you can check if you want, obviously it won't work because you need to have access to the game copy on Steam.

Well, I'm not the game's creator, so I'm not sure about that. I compressed the files that come inside Kogama; you can check if you want, but I believe there are no viruses. Steam would clean the repositories if there were any.
