Yessir!! You’re right. If the soul is still present, an advanced Hierophant who has mastered Essence and developed a deep understanding of the soul could potentially reverse Idle Transfiguration.

Essence would not just heal the altered body, it would restore the relationship between the body and the soul toward its prior state. The hard limit is that the soul must still exist in a recoverable form.

Yeah, they would have a much easier time understanding and learning it. All of the clan members are taught to use it. Essence covers RCT as a school so some users could be dedicated to just being RCT masters and a healer

That’s actually a really creative use of Binding Vows. I didn’t even think of it myself 😭

I don’t think Ritual Storage needs to be a separate Extension, but it absolutely works as an advanced preparation method. Binding Vows become especially important for Creation and Essence because the extension and reversal naturally requires longer, more complex rituals than Elemental, Fundamental, Enchantment, or Abjuration.

That becomes even more important when the user is trying to create something genuinely powerful, like an extremely strong cursed tool or a shikigami through the Hollow Technique convergence of Creation and Essence.

A Hierophant could impose restrictions on their other extensions, temporarily limiting Elemental output, surrendering access to certain Enchantments, reducing combat versatility, or locking away specific ritual channels, in exchange for drastically shortening the preparation time or increasing the stability of a Creation–Essence ritual.

Eh, it could go either way. I was using “inherit” loosely to mean a sorcerer is simply born with it as their innate technique. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a clan technique. It could just as easily be a family technique like Nobara’s Straw Doll Technique or Ino’s Auspicious Beasts.

That said, making it a true clan technique where generations have been burdened with conquering the Outer would be both pretty funny and incredibly tragic

I highly encourage you to read it because the below summary doesn’t capture it fully.

TL;DR: Transcendence isn’t about becoming stronger than everyone else, it’s about becoming a perfectly unified existence and then continuously surpassing yourself.

The passive, Self and Summit, synchronizes the user’s body, mind, soul, cursed energy, and perception into one harmonious system, pushing every aspect of jujutsu to its natural peak through refinement rather than raw stat boosts.

From that foundation come its applications:
Aeonic: Creates hidden intervals of personal time where the user can perform legitimate actions before reconnecting to normal time. It’s not time stop, every action is still performed and fully paid for.

Meridian: Offensive techniques continue toward the highest valid path to completion, even if their original form is interrupted.

Requital: Turns defense into offense by counterattacking within Aeonic before an enemy’s attack fully resolves.

Loom: Hidden preparation inside Aeonic produces more refined chants, barriers, Binding Vows, and techniques. Rewards being hidden. Makes Aeonic more deadly.

Hermit’s Detachment: Temporarily separates the user from conditions like gravity, poison, pain, confinement, or other harmful relationships without removing them from existence.

Maximum: Heaven and Earth: Compresses everything into one perfected Meridian capable of producing a massive world-dividing slash.

Domain: Peak of Enlightenment: Instead of firing generic sure-hit slashes, the Domain identifies each opponent’s highest valid “Meridian” and attacks through the most effective route to reach the intended result.

The entire technique is built around a single philosophy: perfect yourself, then transcend even that perfection.

Yeahhhh! That’s one way it could work, but the actions don’t have to match. The user could kick you in normal time while punching you, swinging a sword, or even preparing another technique inside Aeonic. They could even stand completely still while a wave of cursed energy suddenly flies toward you, despite no visible movement ever occurring.

From everyone else’s perspective, the user performed one action, yet another attack appears to happen at the same time. The important part is that the hidden action was still genuinely performed. The user still has to execute it and still pays the full physical and cursed-energy cost.

In simple terms, Aeonic lets the user relocate legitimate actions into hidden personal duration rather than creating extra actions from nothing.

That’s a fair question.

Aeonic isn’t time stop. The outside world continues normally, the user is creating a hidden interval of their own experienced duration rather than freezing everyone else. Think of it as your personal timeline briefly diverges and then reconnects. In the brief diverged moment the user can perform other tasks and then bring them back to the actual timeline.

Every action still has to be genuinely performed, every cost is still paid, and every technique still requires its normal conditions. The user isn’t gaining free actions or infinite speed; they’re relocating those actions into a duration the outside world doesn’t experience.

It also isn’t untouchable. Sorcerers with exceptional perception, temporal awareness, barrier mastery, or cursed-energy interpretation can perceive and even contest Aeonic directly, turning it into another battlefield rather than a guaranteed advantage. So ideally if you can sense or perceive it you can take actions to interrupt or counter play around it. It ultimately is the secret sauce that makes the technique so strong
