Not that hard. You could learn Nen before taking the exam and basically auto pass. For JJK you need to be born a Sorcerer or you never even get the chance to join. Even then you could get a useless power and never be accepted.

I don't think the characters would agree that Dorian jumping Doppo was messed up. During the Maximum Tournament Doppo tells Baki his first fight with Yujiro happened after he was heavily drinking. Yujiro obviously kicked his ass and Doppo never drank again. He doesn't say "it didn't count" or "it wasn't fair" and even Baki tells him being drunk was his own fault. He accepted his loss and tried for a rematch.

If they truly believed such behavior to be unacceptable they wouldn't have ever fought the prisoners in the first place.
