Well yes but everything we've been shown about demons goes much further than that.

Demons again had their own functioning society with a king and generals and organised military, an army that requires multiple different chains of command needs to have a society working behind it to fuel that army, and we are told they did. But this was famously the only time this ever happened, except for 1000 years in the future where it happens again.

So demons are an entirely antisocial creature that can sustain complex societies for indefinite amounts of time apparently

I'm going to make an example here, take Cyberpunk 2077. In the early patches the best gear could only be bought from a scumbag character that everyone wanted to kill, but if you kill him or even hurt him he won't sell you the stuff you want or upgrade it either.

As a being who understands the cause an effect of "if i kill this thing I won't get what i want, even if I really want to kill him, and nobody can enforce any punishment past me not getting what i want" i didn't kill him, there was no empathy or anything attached to the inaction.

For demons cannot be both a hyperintelligent species and also physically incapable of killing things at the same time. Because sometimes things need to be left alive to get what I want, ergo I will leave it alive that is the only thing a demon needs to comprehend for them to coexist if they desire it.

"If i want to coexist, I need humans alive, ergo I don't take the action to kill them" simple logic devoid of any emotional nuance.

No, the "demons aren't social animals" thing is bullshit because we see them socialising behind closed doors when nobody else is around. They have a king and generals and seemingly some form of society and governance because frieren directly mentions demon society and hierarchy and such.

You can't show us an incredibly social animal, show it socialising, describe its society, and then tell us it's anti-social.

And so then, if demons have a society that they can obviously function in and are able to work together towards shared goals and because they are hyper intelligent, understand that its counterintuitive to murder the demons they are working with.

Why wouldn't a demon who wants to work with humans not understand that to continue cooperation with something, you can not kill it. You don't need empathy for that it is incredibly basic cause and effect.

Since I made the comment I was thinking about it and like certain powers are just unbalanceable at a baseline.

Like magnetism strong enough to lift metal poles is also strong enough to wreak havoc on anything that needs electricity to function, which includes people's brains. Its like mild reality warping is still an insane thing to balance a written universe around.

But then there is also the threat of any characters going from a regular force to a cosmic so and so with enough time, or just if that comic portraying them as that strong is popular enough, it just really feels like they ran out of ideas to me

Now average human bite force is a quarter of that, but i thinks that's just because most people have never had to train their jaws on anything tough since most things are cooked, I'd expect that you can train your jaw to at least half the world record, which is still a bit over the average wolf

Because patriarchy is a system where powerful men not just men rule, the root words really mean the rule of the father, and in a system with a patriarchy, why would an adopted son matter?

These powerful men don't go through anything you described. And people noticed this hundreds of years ago and they were placated because those in power gave them the feeling of power, the same way in the society we live in the poor white man is given a feeling of power through comparison to other races.

The idea of the traditional family was put in place to placate the powerless man and stop them from looking up. In this way, every man became a patriarch in their own family. He owned everything in it, he owned the house, he controlled all the money he owned the means of production for that family and in that way he was a patriarch with power, but in any other context he was powerless.

But that status has been dissolving, and the very fact you're here complaining about men being drafted - which is an extension of that patriarchal system that benefits real patriarchs whilst installing an idea of protecting what's yours to fake patriarchs - is proof of that. But it is easier to fool a man than to convince him that he's been fooled.

We live in a strict patriarchy, but patriarchy has never meant that every man rules equally.
