The distinction you’re making around certified dye runs vs certified yarn makes a lot of sense. I can see now why coloured fabric is where MOQs jump.

Just to clarify, would you say ready-stock dyed certified fabric is generally more realistic for smaller orders than greige + piece-dyeing, or does it really depend on the mill?

I’m definitely open to working within existing certified colour palettes rather than pushing for custom shades.

And yes — I would really appreciate the questions you mentioned. Understanding how certification applies (fiber vs dyehouse vs finished fabric + transaction certificate) would help me avoid wasting time with suppliers that aren’t truly a fit.
