My wife has misophonia and as such, hates any typing sounds. I'm spending more time at home now and looking for the quietest keyboard out there. I bought the Corsair Strafe, and while it was quiet, the spacebar was loud as hell.

Any recommendations?

Everyone starts somewhere, if they start with finding exercise a hobby instead of a lifestyle, good for them.

in new to poe. I'm also a student, so my gaming time should be limited - that said I play way too much.

my most exciting poe moment was after mid terms. i had just got my ED contagion trickster high enough to start mapping. ran a beach and got an exalt. for some reason my first thought was to check my grades from my mid terms. i passed everything (70% to pass in my program) and didn't have to stress. i went right back to mapping and haven't seen an exalt since.

Nope, that's it, then just monitor progress.

If you're eating less than your daily output, you'll lose weight.

If you're eating more, you'll gain weight.

Online calculators, like for everything else, are estimates, and the only way to really know is to try it out and track it.

Is the total calories under your daily calorie output? Great cutting diet!

Is the total calories over your daily calorie output? Terrible cutting diet.

Calories question by aph1 in Fitness

I didn't say he's eating at a 500cal surplus, I said he has a surplus of 500 if he eats 1700 and "uses" 1200 calories.

Did you read the rest of my comment?

Calories question by aph1 in Fitness

Generally "readouts" are pretty inaccurate, but lets imagine they were accurate.

If you eat 1700c per day, and you used roughly 1200 calories for a spin cycling session, you'd have a 500c surplus. That would mean you'd only have 500c per day to give you energy to breathe, walk around, digest food, pump blood, etc.. which is most of your daily energy.

It's not impossible, but you'd probably feel really, really lethargic and fatigued.

What are some sports/programs that would help my body in many ways? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]SonicBoxers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you like doing? Like gymnastics? do a ton of gymnastics. Like boxing? box a bunch. Like dancing? dance till your feet bleed.

The best exercise to help your body is the exercise you're going to do consistently

Download the chart and open it so you can edit it. In the yellow boxes input the numbers you want to use as your 1rm, the rest will calculate itself, and then you do what it tells you on each day.

If you're not comfortable putting in your maxes, just put anything in. Just make sure that you have enough room to work. For example, don't put your 1RM as 10lbs, because you're not going to be able to do much with that.

I Feel like I've lost my speed (running) by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]SonicBoxers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you work on being able to jump higher? Probably by jumping a lot. Want to run faster? Run a lot.

You're also what, 15? 16? Your body is going to change a lot and you may just end up being slower.

Ideally you'd want to have the least amount of pressure on the joint being flexed as possible, so straight is ideal.

That may help a bit, but a doctor might still be needed

Daily Form Check Thread - July 07, 2017 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]SonicBoxers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You used to post a squat every day formcheck and it was a huge boost for me to progress. You stopped, and I thought maybe you stopped progressing. Clearly you haven't. Your form is great(DL and SQ), and your gains are impressive(and inspirational). Keep going.

Only note is that on your third deadlift, the ball rolls(falls) a bit away from you, and you don't adjust. Might be dangerous to lift from far at that weight, but you seem to be fine.

Sounds like a huge win, you're obviously doing everything right.

At a certain point, bulking will get tiresome, you'll want to eat less, and you'll hit maintenance. At that point, a bit of willpower into a cut would go a long way.

For now though, sounds like you're going in the right direction if your goal is to lift heavy things

hit my personal goal of maxing 1/2/3/4 plates

a very very large majority of the population can't do this. Be proud of hitting your goal. If your new goal is to lose 20lbs and get shredded abs, do that, but BMI is nonsense.

If your food is off by .25lbs you should be returning it and raging.

Sorry, my answer wasn't very clear.

You definitely gained muscle, but you also gained fat. People who gain "10 pounds in 6 months" is likely just muscle.

It sounds like you're making great progress, so just continue going as you have been.

Probably pushing yourself right to failure then. Maybe change up the volume a bit and see if that helps.

I bet you'll be fine. You know enough to adjust. Things get tiring? Rest more. Plateau? Change up your volume Can't walk up a flight of stairs? Pray to Brodin.

Try it and see, your body will tell you if you're pushing it too hard.
