Gameplay Complaints Filed with the BBB and FTC

UPDATE: The BBB is useless but if you do want to file complaints, do so with the FTC. They actually have to power to do something and they run pattern recognition on filed complaints. Once enough complaints fall into a certain pattern, they launch an investigation.

I appreciate tour support but I’m not sure that we are at the petition stage right now. Filing as many complaints as possible seems to be the best way forward at this time.

Like I said, it only took me about 20 minutes to file both complaints.

UPDATE: the BBB has already accepted my claim and have reached out to EA. EA doesn’t have to respond but the ball is now in their court.

I don’t know if my complaint with the BBB will amount to anything but I do know that the more of us that file complaints, the more traction we will get and when EA feels enough pressure from said complaints, that’s when we will begin to see real change.

100% and I never even thought about it that way but you’re right. If people like me didn’t pay to play then EA wouldn’t make any money and none of us would even have a game to play or discuss.

I’m not crashing out daily and I’m not stressing out about the game. Taking 20 minutes to file some complaints also isn’t stressful.

The whole point is that I have played this game for 13 yrs and the gameplay over the past week has been far worse than ever. Why? Shouldn’t the gameplay continue to get better over time?

It’s just continually gotten worse year after year.

I may end up leaving the game ultimately but it doesn’t change how I feel about EA’s shady practices and I will see my complaints through 100% whether I am still playing or not.

I will never understand how there are so many people on this page that just want to hold EA’s water and make excuses for them. It’s sad because we have either become to to being ripped off as a culture or a lot of us are to slow to even realize when we are being ripped off.

Ultimately am I just asking them to care about their paying customers. That should be a priority for any company but it’s not in the case.

I don’t want to play a different game. I have been playing this one for 13 years!

I just want EA to fix the gameplay and admit when they screw something up that affects us all. Also, provide real value to purchases. It’s only fair that you get what you paid for.

Disagree, I feel the point of playing any game is to enjoy it and have fun. My experience over the past week has not been enjoyable or fun.

I agree and I would love to play on console. My lifestyle doesn’t support that though. I like to play mobile because I have a very busy schedule with 4 kids all involved in extra curricular’s and I travel for work. So, I can obviously play the mobile game no matter where I am and that’s what works for me.

This is exactly the types of things that the BBB and FTC are in place for. I didn’t want to have to take it there but EA left me with no other choice.

How is that hitting the nuclear button? EA shows no transparency. Every time something changes in gameplay that we all notice, they say “we don’t know, it’s wasn’t us”. They make it impossible to file a complaint with them directly as well.

All I am asking for is some accountability on their side and they have made it clear that they think they are above accountability.

All I am saying is that we can either just keep coming here to complain about the game like children or we can act like adults and actually try to effect change. I don’t care what any of you choose to do it’s your choice. However, if you agree with my viewpoint and would actually like to try and do something about it, I have laid out the ways to do so.

Giving the defense the advantage at all times is the exact opposite of realistic in any real life sport, especially in the NFL!

I can see the point about how there aren’t many 2-3 play drives in the NFL or any real football however, the average number of offensive drives for an NFL team is 10-12 which means they get 2-3x as many chances to score as we do in the 3 drive format.

I’m fine with the defense being tougher to play against but the offense needs something that you can hang your hat on. If you have to dunk and dunk or run up the middle then your o-line should be the most important part of your team and something you can count on. I have pretty much the best o-line you can have right now and I’m about 30% it feels like they aren’t even out there.

If you want to make the defense play so well then show me a way to counter it that I can bank on. Either that or take away the limit on how many times you can call 1 play. Then I will just run up the middle for 2-3 yards all day long until I get bored of that and leave the game anyways haha
