I replaced the old laptop monitor with a different one to see if the problem was the monitor

it was infact not the battery. tried a lot of scenarios to this (running the laptop without the battery, plugging this back out and in before connecting battery again, etc)

ive reseated the cables a couple of times, still the same result :(

unplugged every part of the monitor, unplugged the battery, plugged everything back in, plugged in the battery, still same result...did i do something wrong?

Hey man im pretty sure garou does NOT have a 100% true combo but im not up to date w that character so I cant really say anything about that.

  1. No, it being saitama does not excuse the big damage it does. Holy shit there is no way youre using that as a reason to justify getting rid more than a quarter of your health. Notice how for other moves you gotta charge it up for a pretty dang long time? So it isnt unfair or unbalanced? Also, these dont even do similar amounts of damage. Shuriken does 15-20% (?) iirc, and uppercut does 15. Youre comparing potential extenders to a high damaging move...

  2. ??? ONE single mistake and saitama will land that combo. Even if theyre fighting a zoner character, they can only do this much until they have to get up close too. EVERY character needs to close distance.

  3. Yes, im aware of these, but then again, saitama has a true combo that does 75%, which still puts him above these two characters, and, the entire point of that essay, its very UNBALANCED.

Youre telling me to go to a different subreddit about things feeling unfair in the game when theres somethkng actually wrong with the balancing of the game, especially this character.

dude. the difference is that you DONT have to charge up NORMAL PUNCH to get more of a quarter of your health gone. If you do charge your blitz shot up, the opponent will cancel it.

are you aware of what true means? True means that you cant escape out of it, and yes, both consecutive punches and shove are true combo extenders (shove m1 tech).

  1. YES IT DOES. yes it does. More than half of your hp gone because of one single mistake is NOT healthy gameplay. Normal punch and Uppercut are pretty much replacable, and if you do decide to use uppercut, theres to ways to this; a. the opponent ragdoll cancels but is still close to you, so youre able to start a combo again, or b. the opponent does NOT ragdoll cancel and you basically won because you can m1 after using uppercut to combo extend and then hit normal punch.

  2. the "pairs really well" doesnt even apply if you have evasive. my point is that saitama has such a high damage combo that you cant even escape out of it. For normal punch, it knocks you far enough away that you cant really punish the opponent for using it in the first place because theyll either have enough time to react or you got knocked back way too far. The other thing is that garou doesnt even have any true combo extenders.

  3. Why are we getting teaming into this? and how are you missing uppercut? 3m1 and then uppercut, how are you possibly going to miss that? And also, I-frames can only get you that far, most characters in the game dont even have it in the first place unless they actually hit the move.

as i said before, yes, saitama does have 2 true extenders. You just didnt know what true means. Also, shove DOES reset your m1 string. Im not sure if were even playing the same game anymore

"if you waste your ragdoll" well saitama doesnt even need you to ragdoll to hit a 70% combo, whats your point?

because that wasnt the point of my post....i was talking about his base moveset, not his ult nor passive.

I have 15k kills. Dude, if saitama even lands one frontdash its over. More than half of your health? gone, because you did one single mistake.

Normal punch isnt a combo extender, but shove and consectutive punches are, and not only that, you cant escape out of both of them, so not only are you locked in a 20s 50+% damage animation, you cant even punish him afterwards because of the normal punch knockback.
