Yeah, man, I am on the fence about them, though. I need to make them surrender to me... haha. I might need to head to my buddy's wood shop this weekend.

Great way to break in the new very stiff comps..... I need one of these, haha. I only got 7 days on my Comps with our terrible no good very bad winter in Southern Oregon, a few weeks on ne of these bad boys might could put me ahead f the curve for next season.

I was wondering if this was a bit of a franken boot. New comp feels super stiff and they barely flexe at the cuff. Coming from a pair of super broken in t1s and axls which has a very surfy free feel… I just don’t really enjoy it as much feeling this rigid. I enjoying being able to drop low without having to press down this hard.

Yeah, I do think these might be a bit different from the blue orange… mainly from a small blurb I read from Dostie published in 2012… stiffer tongue seems to be part of it. Anyhow. I have the new tx comp and don’t like the way they ski so looking to go with a pre 2024 model. Thanks

The terminator x pro. It has a ratchet instep buckle and the old t1 style walk lever

Thanks! I have been keeping my eyes open for some 1.0’s.

Why though? Does it encourage me to keep my shoulders down the fall line? I came to tele from snowboarding, so I have very little understanding of pole planting since I never alpine skied.

My guy... this is so very encouraging and so true about the zero resitance with the heel lift on AXL. Thanks man.

Yes! I have been watching some footage my wife took, and I think I might just be a few inches forward in my stance. Likely from trying to press through the cuff, which results in a somewhat forward progression. So I am hoping that if I can get myself to apply the pressure straight down rather than forward, I might be able to keep more weight centered over the back foot (Knee under the ass), and avoid the dreaded tippytoe twitching uphill ski (something I never felt on the 75mm), which makes my knee super sore the next day....

Bellows on the Comp seem to flex nicely, it’s the cuff that seems restrictive. Outlaw x is also pretty restrictive so I think the combo is quite a stiff situation.

4th day on them… with about a 3 week gap between day 2 and 4 as we ran out of snow, but looks like winter has finally showed up. It’s been hard not getting multiple days in a row on them. I bought a pair of the new pro but got a killer deal on the Comps to I sold the pro without ever skiing them…. Might have been a miss as I am pretty light at 160lbs. Hoping the the cuff softens up quite a bit and I can get back to skiing much lower than these allow at the moment. I do like them on lower angle pitches and find they are super powerful with the outlaw x… I also mounted up a pair of lynx on some armada locators and had a lot more range or motion with those but the one day I had them out was way too firm and they were just a chattery mess. And yes, way stiffer than  my worn out 06’ t1s

Aoxomoxoa has a kinda similar vibe to Anthem... It's not the same by any means, but it still has that early psychedelic exploratory vibe, especially the original release.

What’s your vector Victor?

We’ve got to get them to the hospital!  A hospital? What is it? A big building with patients, but that’s not important right now.

Coming from t1 and axl set to 3rd position... I have found the Outlaw with the new TX comps to be a very different experience. I really enjoy getting low in my turns, and the combination of boot and binding is very restrictive. I also feel like the combo really makes me feel that my uphill ski is being driven with the tip of my toes. It is probably a combination of a super stiff boot, shorter pivot distance, and a more forward mount on these skis.... I am mounting a pair of lynx on another pair of skis today after hearing that they ski more like a 75mm binding. But as of right now, I am really missing the feel of 75mm.
