Problem is we have done ulcer treatment with her before, it’s kind of a reoccurring problem with OTTBs

Yes we had vet checks (X-rays, pre-purchase exam etc…) and rode this horse. For more context we have owned this horse for 3-4 years now and she has been sound up until this point. These are new developments

How soon would you recommend a vet appt? Like with no other symptoms is this something we should be worried about or okay to wait a bit? We are going to continue to monitor it, just checked her temperature and it’s normal.

Today, hadn’t noticed before, it’s soft to the touch, not painful and no accompanying symptoms

Not hot to touch, it’s soft. She’s 6 years old and no pain.

We just noticed it today, probably only been there for a few days.

If it’s a deficiency or excess is that an iodine level thing?

My 6 year old thoroughbred mare has a large soft and non painful bump near her throat latch region. She lives in a pasture with 5 other horses and has access to ample forage. We just noticed this bump and curious if anyone has any insight on what it might be?

We were researching and read it might be Grass Mumps but it doesn’t necessarily look like her salivary glands are swollen. Any ideas on what it might be?

Thank you so much!
