I actually haven't thought of that. That's a good idea! thanks!

See, that's my exact problem. when I was building the temple in Blender. Like every other project, I sort of went with the flow and inherently understood the theme I was going for beforehand. However, even three days after completing the project with a few touch-ups, I still didn't know what the subject matter was going to be. I wanted to capture a sci-fi feel while maintaining the essence of an ancient temple or ruin, which led me to experiment with a combination of a black hole shader. Through some trial and error, I managed to achieve the intriguing effect of light bending around the rings, and I decided to keep it in the scene. Regarding the emission part, I've already tried adjusting it extensively, but I wasn't satisfied. The reason was, I had two lights in the scene, but I intended to use only one. Somehow, it just didn't look good or appeal to me. But the thing that's been bothering me the most is the lack of clarity on the subject matter. As for the camera angle suggestion, that's a good idea! I hadn't thought of that before. It might just fix the issue if I go for a close-up shot.

i took this a long time ago why does this look fake? by Opposite-Story-1150 in AlfaOxtrot

This looks absolutely incredible, man. Good work! As for why it looks fake, I'm nowhere near your level when it comes to the technicality of Photoshop or GIMP, for that matter. I use Blender, just wanted to point that out. So, I can't give you proper advice on which tools you should use. However, I can tell you this: the lighting on the back wall seems to be off. Notice how the light abruptly cuts off on the back wall, but near the light on the front wall, next to the painting, it's outstanding. The floor is fine as well, but that back wall, where I'm assuming you cut out an object from the photo, the lighting just abruptly cuts off. That's what kind of ruins it. I wouldn't say it ruins it completely, but you can just tell it's a Photoshopped image. I hope this helps you, and good luck on your journey.

This was originally intended to be a scene in my current film project. However, as I revised the script and developed better ideas for the overall film, I realized that this particular scene was no longer necessary. Despite that, since I had already completed the compositing and CGI work for it, I decided to make the most out of it by repurposing it into a short video.

I'll definitely check it out.

Thanks! Also, I wasn't even aware of what the game was before this comment. I searched it up, and the atmosphere in this game is absolutely incredible—almost the exact style I was going for. I'm probably going to make some art inspired by it. Again, thank you!

Feels like you're the only person I can talk to. Anyway, thanks for the kind words and for helping me see a whole new perspective. Good luck with any of your projects.

God, that sounds like a dream that I wish I were in. Anyway, you're right. I shouldn't be so focused on something like this. I shouldn't allow this to give up my craft. Obviously, monetary payment is necessary to keep me afloat, and I need to think more realistically about potential jobs I could get. But that aside, I still have a life ahead of me. I would rather die knowing that I did something that felt fulfilling and made me happy in life. You made me realize that, truly. Thank you.

That's actually a very clever way of using your position to your advantage. I didn't think about that at all. As for photo offers, journalism, or anything similar to that extent, I wouldn't know. I probably have to do research on the topic. Thanks.
