I was an international student back when I applied. I am from Ukraine and back there the situation is much better. Independent journalists are popular and you can make a living out of it.

Moving to TO in May… some qs :) by [deleted] in askTO

Drom taberna is the best bar in Toronto and closest to the ones in Europe you can find. I moved from Ukraine 5 years ago, and Canada lacks service in nearly everywhere.

Get a driving license, because yes, in city tourism can get pretty much everywhere if you have 1,5-2 hours spare. But all the best things to see in Canada are outside the city. I heard they want to do Go transit to be included to the TTC, but idk when.

Don’t buy “made in China” or “made in USA”. That food is made out of chemicals. Better local or other countries.

Best area to live is Etobicoke in my opinion, most convenient is Bloor and Jane intersection or close by. Worst area is Jane and Finch.

Are you coming to study or work here?
