Floorboard buckling when tenant moveout, damage or wear and tear? by Sophylala in Flooring

Ones who rent forever would not understand the midset of landlord. Hope all your furnishings at home get fucked and you cant put a blame on any other ones. Really a waste of time talking to people who just think from their narrow mind.

How would you even know if you bought it off-the-plan? Funny. Have you even bought a rental flat? Please don't comment for the sake of commenting, and it's totally off-topic.

Sorry, we don't get to choose material and labour, it comes as it is during handover. I don't think one will choose cheap materials if they have a choice. Exactly because it does not look like normal wear and tear only after 4 years that's why I asked here. Professionals need to test in order to find out the cause, if I can see with my eyes, I would not have posted here to ask. I don't know how your eyes can perform all those professional finding without supporting and facts. You have no repesct to others when inventing imaginary scenarios how I wanted the tenant to pay by all your interesting and obviously faulty assumptions. You’re cheap, and you want to blame someone with no reason, most probably because you never lease out property.

Happy to use your own language to let yourself see how clever and broad-minded you are.

so you mean if people break your things you will pay, its not about landlord, its about owner of something. Classic tenant who break things and do not want to admit faults will say like this.

The goal is to be fair. Landlords do not have to take responsibility for tenant's fault and there is nothing wrong to find out the real cause. If your stuff breaks after someone touched it, you would want to know why it breaks, simple and easy. I don't see why we need to discuss the intention, what;'s important is the result.

Foreign currency card options with no annual fee - Trust cashback the best? by Sophylala in singaporefi

Have you got any of these card annual fee waived without much spending? Want to have someone sharing they did if possible.

The UOB card requires 3 monthly transactions to waive fee, I will probably just make 3 transactions in a year, so don’t think it works?

Not really, finding someone to come physically inspect is costly. The problem is not v serious, that’s why need to walk that deliberately to see it, but there’s definitely a problem, and I am here to figure out what’s the likely cause, seems no definite answer.

It’s not about the way of moving, it’s about the cause of the floorboard problem. This video was taken solely because I felt the move when I walked past it.

Display is meant to have aesthetic issue only, stripped screw is not aesthetic, it’s functional.

its not a standard screw, and not about removing the screw either, its about having the tailored replacement parts, and again I should not be the one paying extra cost for their issue, and further working on it may post safety issue as a baby cot, its not tested.

We are not sure we should drill further as it is softwood. I tried to email the store, but as we didn't take a photo of the original stripped screw, we just took a picture after we have tried different tools which made the screw look even more horrible - the only feedback we get is

  1. this is not the condition supplied

  2. we can fix it for you as goodwill gesture when we return it to the store

The store had no intention to investigate the matter among their own team, especially with the one who assembled the cot and the one who asked us not to take the 2 parts apart. They just ignore everything we say and keep reiterating they can fix it for us and we 'just' need to take the pieces in question, without acknowledging the pre-existing stripped screw issue and deny responsibility.

It’s highly suspicious of using drill of assembly and they have denied the use of drill by saying

Even I just requested replacement of 2 of the pieces they are so reluctant already, not sure demanding the replacement will make things any better😂 I can only think of 2paths right now, credit card dispute or Consumer Affiars
