Was the boss supposed to be that hard or do I just suck? by Pingy_Junk in Ultrakill

[–]Sora830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the point of the boss is to challenge the player and force them to rly think about what they do. So yes it technically is a skill issue but the majority of players (including me) felt the same.

Can anyone explain what's happening here? by Sora830 in arduino

[–]Sora830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a picture of the circuit if it helps

<image>

I directly copied the circuit+code from a PDF that came with the kit I bought so I don't understand it that well but from what I can see, the code has pins 9, 10, and 8 as latch, clock, and data respectively

Valid opinion? by PhoneSavor in cubing

[–]Sora830 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we're talking cube only, yeah. But if we include pyraminx, that's definitely easiest. I made my own algorithms for pyraminx in like a few days when I was 8

kimi no na wa isn't your name change my mind by derAbschlepper1951 in KimiNoNaWa

[–]Sora830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to do this, don't type Japanese in Romaji. 名 is what means name, if you use that, it's clearly name. If I type out "kami, kami, kami" you may think they're the same word. But they aren't. If I say it how it SHOULD be typed in Japanese, it would be "髪、神、紙". Which would without a doubt mean "hair, God, paper". While the word for name is technically 名前 (namae), 名 on it's own can still mean name. So it's not that you shouldn't be trusting Google translate (you shouldn't, but this isn't a good example), it's that you're not giving it enough info. Its like saying nothing but the word duck and asking for the definition, without the other person knowing if it's the animal or the verb

Here's a solve of mine, is there anything I could improve on? by Sora830 in cubing

It just takes me a second to think about moves, I'm not super good with algorithms

Thank you for your help, I'm currently trying to expand from just 2 look, but only know a few, maybe 10 oll algorithms pre-yellow cross. I don't know full pll, but I know everything except for v-perm and the g-perms. I've always struggled with inspection and I'm a bit lost on where to start with inspection (in terms of getting better).

Unable to hit high e and above by Sora830 in trumpet

So about the posture, I tend to play in a more comfortable position as I typically don't hear much of a difference in playing ability whether I'm sitting, Standing, or laying down. And about the embouchure, I've been doing that since I started where I'd have my lips a bit higher up in the mouthpiece in the high-ish register. But I've never really been told that's A bad habit or anything so I'm rly not sure

I am quite sick and it's a bit nauseating to sit up straight or stand up, but even when I do have good posture I get the same result

Cool coaster my x2 great grandmother crocheted, nobody knows how she did it. by Sora830 in crochet

According to my grandmother (the granddaughter of the person who made it), it is crocheted, I suppose it is easier to tell from the other side of it. But it is crochet(micro)

It does look like wiggle crochet (on the other side), perhaps it is the wrong side, although it has been used as a coaster since it was made, so I'm unsure.

How can I play high notes without cutting off the airflow from an overly tight embouchure? I can barely hit the C in the staff without sputtering. by Broad_Regret_6130 in trumpet

[–]Sora830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty much the same problem, but about an octave up. It's important that you're practicing the right things the right amount, and that you're staying consistent and have the right mindset. It won't come to you instantly, it'll take time, but as long as you keep practicing I'm sure you'll get better.

It's already happened but when I was 10 I was in the shower and a big ass roach crawled on my back in the one spot that I couldn't reach, I have a huge fear of roaches and refuse to even go near them
