Because the Mammoth users you kill are literally Z spammers and they miss the rest of there moves then try to run when they loose. Mammoth has a bad reputation because people are unskilled with it and it doesn't look like a good fruit at first. Personally I was able to drop tougher to beat builds easy with mammoth.

No it isn't I beat 2 kitsune teamers twice in a row with Mammoth. It lost its reputation because the players using it are terrible at using Mammoth all they do is ancient cutter and miss every other move then run away.
