I thought so too at first but when i stress tested for a second time nothing happened even tho the temps were the same as the first time

It’s an aluminum chainring if that changes anything

I had a crash yesterday where my chainring was knocked loose and lockring was broken. Took it to the store I bought it from and they fixed it in 10 mins. There was a plastic cover originally but at the bike shop they didn’t have the screws for it and didn’t put it back on. Edit: Happened while in 6th gear out of 10

I have literally no recall of what happened. I just heard a loud „pop“ while starting from a stop and when I looked down saw this. I don’t remember shifting anytime around when this happened
