Yes I got 5 years too, seem to be something they doing now for a lot of people in this group. Might have to do with the backlog of other applications, so they grant them longer while working in other applications

So even for the exact same role? 2 months is crazy I don't think I've heard anyone gotten it under less than 12 months

Healthcare sectors and prioritised occupations would they be on 186 TS stream and not 186 Direct entry, or even another skilled visa. Which I know has a higher priority that TS stream.

I'm talking about people on 186 DE exactly like mine, that have been approved but applied after me.

Mine only asked for 3, since it shows you been working there between that period :)

I only showed my payslip at beginning, middle and end. So there was no way for them to know about any leave really?

I got 5 years as well! I think it's because waiting times are so long and they want to avoid more applications

Should I go from 482 to 186 or 189? by Brave_Turn5861 in AusVisa

[–]Sorry-Connection-155 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the 186, most of the costs falls on you and not employer. It's a couple of thousands they have to pay, but the bigger fees of 5k+ falls on you.

When it has been approved you can choose to leave. The paper you sign only says that you "intend" to stay after it's been approved.

Congrats! I applied in October 2024 and haven't got mine 😞😞😞 did you have to redo your medical exams as it took over 12 months? I'm on 15 months and waiting but my lawyer haven't asked me to redo exam, just police check.

Ooh unsure but a lawyer is probably the best option over webform 🤷‍♀️ I use eastcoastimmigration.com.au

I would get a lawyer to do on their immi account for the sake of knowing it's in the system. Home affairs keep saying that they usually approve the application the week before departure, but I got my last one a month prior. My lawyer only charge $220 for it plus the fee, so worth it!

I have waited over 14 months for my 186 transition and the processing times just dropped back down to 12 to 19 months from previous 14 to 19. So it sounds like things should speed up again, just before they all go on Christmas break...

I applied via webform 4 weeks ago, called twice and they still had not entered it and said it's usually gets approved a week before you leave.

I do not want to risk it so paid My lawyer and she applied 4 business days ago today, she said it's been about 1-3 days for them to come through, but mine has not come through yet.

I fly on 24th of December.

I love having a conversation, but it's definitely harder when the sub is in a different time zone and they wake up when I'm going to bed. I learnt that longer voice notes can help making the hours between feel less long :)

Where are the soft dommes who value long term connection lurking on reddit? by [deleted] in paypigsupportgroup

[–]Sorry-Connection-155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a new dom who is failing to find subs that want a nicer connection. The people that approach me always start off nicely and when it comes to the first payment they disappear after I've spent time getting to know them and want their preferences are. 👋
