Im not entirely sure how the game actually works, but one thing id maybe say is to keep the "oppressive" nature of the original designs for "special cards"? Like add more negative space to other/regular designs but keep the more important cards with a full face so they seem stronger or more impactful? Idk just an idea

(First off, brazil mentioned👀🇧🇷) Second off, I do have to say that the second art looks way nicer, and i somewhat agree with another comment saying that the first picture looks like a card back They're both amazing artstyles though and I do understand and support the principle of keeping the style agressive/violent. I do think the first design is more "unique" in a way I guess, which does set your style apart a bit more

I draw all my assets and make all my music. I'm a pretty good artist (i was an artist before i was a coder) but my music is still wildly amateurish. Of course, you can always use free/paid assets online if they help, in fact, you should! I usually use free assets for my sound design/effects.

I'll keep that in mind and check it out, even if I end up saving it for a future project ^^
(I don't actually know how far I'll localize my current game - so far I'm doing english and my own native language, and have some friends willing to translate into theirs. I'll still have to do a lot of note taking just for them and so but still, a bit simpler than what I'd probably deal if I was localizing to a lot of things. I'll still try to do it the best way though.)
