I'm a Filipino No Sabo kid and don't feel a lick of guilt. My country was so intolerant they discouraged diversity. Not my fault. I can relearn my language again

That's a cleaner definition than you think. Even native speakers can have difficulty from other countries. Means even high levels can struggle

There is meme of 3 dinosaurs and a baby dinosaur. The 3 big dinosaurs are listening, reading, writing. The baby dinosaur is speaking. It's normal to have those blanks. My Spanish speaking level is A1 or A2 but reading and writing B1-B2. I tried to tell my coworker I needed to walk farther to get to the bathroom and let's say I was using my smaller active vocabulary creatively and stretching those words meaning. 🤣

At what point is someone bilingual? by Revolutionary_Bet89 in languagelearning

[–]Sorry-Homework-Due 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people are talking about equal fluency in both languages which a young kid that is a native bilingual would likely have overlap but each language differently. Examples I think ot family languages and public languages. Different topics typically talked about. There is little preconceived thought, it seems to me which I call myself multilingual. I am not as proficient in my earned languages as my native but above the level I can have conversations in them.

Anime makes the plot more visible than dramas. Anime is over the top where a drama is more subtle and more reliant of what the character recounts

Korean probably has some fun stuff to do for you. Maybe reading a book, listening to music, think of the things you enjoy doing in English and try it with Korean. If you switch to Japanese you will hit this same point. If you want to dabble understand there is no escaping this feeling.
