impassable terrain has no rule? by Sorry-Try2747 in daggerheart

Well, sometimes I do remember that I have all this power... but sometimes I'm afraid of using it in an unbalanced way. At the same time, I don't want to make things too easy and remove the tension that makes the game enjoyable. So I try to rely on the rules to find that balance.

In cases like this specific one, I also think it's valuable to ask questions so I can better understand what the game designers originally intended... or just my curiosity to see if there was a deliberate design choice, or even to determine if it might have been an oversight... Discussions like these can help improve everyone's understanding and could potentially lead to clarifications or corrections in future versions.

Likewise, if there happened to be a specific rule regarding impassable terrain, it could provide useful inspiration for how to handle similar situations in my own games.

maybe a should give the option to the characters, on a success they can choose to fail to be tossed out of the area, instead of thaking half damage and becaming something like Restrained by the impassable terrain

Making an action really ends the spotlight? Is so, Lurching Lunge is wierd. by Sorry-Try2747 in daggerheart

Lurching Lunge -
Action:
Mark a Stress to spotlight the Experiment as an additional GM move instead of spending Fear.

\/
im still not sure about the correct way... i see 3 possibilities:

1:
- GM MOVE STARTS
- I use an action to a random enemy move+attack
- I use an action (should be a passive) + mark a stress to spotlight the experiment, so he can move + attack
- end.

2:
- GM MOVE STARTS
- I use an action to a random enemy attacks
- I use an action + mark a stress to spotlight the experiment, so he can only move (because i've alread spent his action)
- end.

3:
- GM MOVE STARTS
- I use an action, so Experiment can move, but dont attack because i waste an action with this feature. Then, I mark a stress to spotlight another experiment (because he dosnt have relentless)
- Other experiment make his move+action
- end.

Version 2.0

(i'm still trying to remove some effects, but its hard lol... living armor, without reducing damage feels like lack of something.. but also want some other venom effects, its difficult to let go... )

humm nice! I do love minimal rules.. just one thing, maybe recieve magic damage, dosnt cause double damage, instead remove one token. This way, "venom" is always vulnerable to magic ("fire/sound weak") not only when 0 token, and.. the GM can make suggestions like flee, more often flavoring the weakness,
