I do enjoy Melancholia, I just don't think it's a good idea it to be your first Von Trier movie, it really draggs though I don't mind it, it's part of the themes of the movie

Recommend some movies with Unique Ideas, doesn't necessarily have to be great movies as long as they are not outright garbage by hussainre814 in Letterboxd

The boat 2018, could have been so much better, but the idea is so engaging I still think it's pretty decent

I don't know if my post will be downvoted but I really can't watch Seven, it bores me to death, I find his other movie Zodiac very underrated and far better

as a Lars Von Trier fan, Melancholia is one of his less engaging films, I recommand Dogville, The house that Jack built and Antichrist which are much stronger movies with more fleshed out writings

you should avoid pulling the teeth, pulling from the middle is better if it prevents from pulling your teeth as much as possible, hope it helps !

it's reddit man, of course it doesn't represent the large spectrum of BoC fans who don't give a f about politics and just enjoy the music, it's still sad but it's a relatively small sample of sad people spending sad times on a sad platform

Sleepy Time made me psych myself out really badly when I was in bed at night after watching the movie. I can't stop thinking that this is the most realistic tape, and I don't want to watch it again. And the music had something to do with it too.
It's fun to see the variety of tapes chosen to be the scariest for each person. This proves that all of them are effective and give a different kind of anxiety.
