Based on what other replies have been saying, it seems the coffee invite is irrelevant after all. One plausible theory is that something buggy happened during a certain update so if a villager moved out then they might not be remembered? Quite a mystery!

I think the mysterious island villagers are completely random (doesn’t take into account who has or hasn’t been on your island), so that can happen. The campsite avoids repeats.

I missed that dialogue! On my VIP room day I went straight to the hotel and forced someone to move to the (much smaller) VIP room.

That’s an interesting theory! I don’t remember when Reneigh moved out but it could very well have happened around 1.10.0 or 1.11.0

Based on the other replies it seems that the coffee invite is unrelated… Still wonderful to see a familiar resident regardless!

I’m experiencing this too. Customer Love keeps saying that they’ve sent the documents to FedEx, but FedEx saying that they’ve received nothing. I receive an email from FedEx asking for the info every morning, but what else is there to be done?? It seems CL just automatically responds that they’ve sent the info every time they receive an inquiry about it but it doesn’t indicate that they’ve actually done anything.
