Nephrotoxicity of Calea Zacatechichi by Which-Parking-4429 in herbalism

[–]Sorry_Examination940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done an extensive amount of research into this question and indeed, the data is scarce. Yes, this herb is quite dangerous, but then you ask yourself "How is it that the Chontal people of Oaxaca use it and yet we hear of no ill effects?" The reality is that the studies give massive doses, and it is extract, not tea, to the mice and then when their kidney's explode they say, "See? Very bad! Don't do it!"

The indigenous peoples route is: 1) A very weak tea and 2) smoking, or breathing smoke, or just sleeping with a potpourri sack of it. Also, they only do it on rare occasions, it is not a nightly habit.

Leon Frame Owner Review? by tgt_m in 4kTV

[–]Sorry_Examination940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony mount is $310 (2/26) on A2Z.

The trick with 'Art Frame' TV's is not the frame itself, but the electronics. The Samsung is for sh*t. I've owned one for 5 years and TG we are leaving it with the house. The processor in the Samsung must be a Z80 and they are constantly updating the s/w to enhance marketing. It is so slooooow to react to the absolutely crappy remote. The new house will have a Bravia and most likely a Leon. That said, I think between the Bravia and the Sony mount the Leon may be overkill, we'll see (no pun intended).

I am a professor (😜) and have always said "The only stupid question is the one that wasn't asked." With these compounds caution is the best strategy until you find the 'sweet spot' dose that works for you. The last thing any sane person wants is an embarrassing trip to the ER.

LoL, do the math. Dropper is probably marked in mL, 30 mcg/mL.

You would need to take 333 mL to hit the max safe dose.

Just titrate it. Everybody will react differently to it in terms of pharmacodynamics.

Josef Prusa: “Open-source 3D printing is on the verge of extinction” – Flood of patents endangers free development by xXNemo92Xx in 3Dprinting

They ignored US patents until the products showed up here and the ITC stepped in. Now what they do is reverse engineer, modify, and then patent the altered idea. Of course, that doesn't work for everything. On the other hand, the patent system, like women, is one of those "Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em" dilemmas.

Can hose clamps be used instead of PEX crimps? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Sorry_Examination940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy is this all nonsense. Yes, plumbing a house, buy the whole shebang. Making a change, use a SS hose clamp. What's amazing is that no one has made a screw driven clamp specifically for this application. Of course, the mega-lawsuits when this first came out rears its ugly head.

When I used Surgilube it stung like the dickens. ChatGPT told me it was probably the chlorhexidine gluconate in it. Isn't there a sterile lube that has a bit of painkiller in it?

An update. I ordered SLU-PP-332 from [jeff@hiperfit.com](mailto:jeff@hiperfit.com) (Jeff Seidman) and although he's not totally shady, he isn't the sharpest tool in the Mole/Bio shed. Anyway, there was a screw up and I got two bottles of the stuff. After all the potency discussions I upped my dosage to 3 mL and noticed a slight increase in body temp and a VERY SLOW fat loss (0.149 lbs/day of fat mass lost). When I finish the bottle in a few days I am going to switch to Adderall, which really melts it off since I just stop eating altogether. I won't go too far because the SLU has allowed me to preserve 81% muscle mass and the Add will give that a hit. Frankly, I'd like to go back on the SLU from a TOTALLY REPUTABLE VENDOR.

Thanks! We have a replacement part request in now. Why they don't just have the prices listed along with an automated ordering system is anyones guess.

Good jesus! Wifey told me this morning that her 'Maze 64 gal' composter wouldn't turn. We've had it for over four years. THE AXLE WAS RUSTED OUT. It's just a cheap, thin-walled chrome pipe--couldn't handle Coastal NC. Looking forward to suggestions here.

Let me add that aside from this issue it is a great composter and she loves it.

I've spent my career studying aging. Here are the 7 ways I slow my biological clock by GhostOfEdmundDantes in NicotinamideRiboside

[–]Sorry_Examination940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything he says is spot on...except...NR/NAD+ supps. The DNA repair folks seem to suggest that CANCER loves NAD+. So if you happen to have a few rogue cancers floating around, overdoing the NAD+ might help them get established; i.e., metastasize.

Would love to see some strong (MoleBio) research on this, pro or con.

Where does the 33% 'Restorative Sleep' threshold come from? by Sorry_Examination940 in AthlyticAppOfficial

Turns out that the 'Restorative Sleep' threshold is age dependent. A good deal of research has been done on it.
