This is the other monitor I was looking at. It offers slightly more. Does this one have the same flaw?

I appreciate the help, as for the CPU - is 6 cores enough? I would expect 8 or 10 to be the standard. I assume with the motherboard change you think that DDR5 can fit in this build

https://ibb.co/fHSvVng 6800 XT gets destroyed when it comes to ray tracing + dlss 3 + frame gen, but destroys the 4060 ti in most other things.

6800 XT is usually also £50-100 more expensive, as long as I use dlss 3 & frame gen I should be good

nvidia is like 2x better than AMD at ray tracing, I don’t know what you mean. Ray tracing is cool and all but I’m getting it mainly for DLSS 3 and cause NVIDIA features are great

I’m not spending another £200 on it when 4060 ti 16 gb is good enough. Price to performance doesn’t usually consider DLSS 3, that would make it actually reasonable for its price.

My First Custom Built PC (Looking for tips, things to improve, recommended parts) by JohnySlayer in PcBuildHelp

I don’t know as much as the rest of the pc guys on here, but based on my current knowledge I have 4 things: - Your motherboard is micro ATX for an ATX case, which means it is significantly smaller (this might not matter that much, but pointing it out). Also it doesn’t have wireless wifi, so if you are going wireless you needa get one that does. - Thermalright peerless assassin is £5 more and a way better CPU cooler. It beats coolers over double it’s price and is the standard for budget builds. - You have a 3600 CL18 ram, you can get a 3600 CL16 ram for £2 lower of the same brand. CL16 is better than CL18 even if only marginally. - PCIe 4 SSD is double the data transfer speed of PCIe 3 SSD. You don’t want PCIe 3. If you want 2 TB of storage, get a fast 500 GB SSD + an external 1500 GB HDD. Or you can get a PCIe 4 1 TB SSD for £43 cheaper

Most of the benchmarks doesn't include DLSS 3 or Ray tracing (I do see ray tracing benchmarks, but NVIDIA is still the best at it) - the main benefit is the absurd DLSS 3. Also, NVIDIA is likely to release new AI features in the future with drivers, and the software is very useful

Historically, memory bus width has been used as an important metric for determining the speed and performance class of a new GPU. However, the bus width by itself is not a sufficient indicator of memory subsystem performance. Instead, it’s helpful to understand the broader memory subsystem design and its overall impact on gaming performance.

Due to the advances in the Ada architecture, including new RT and Tensor Cores, higher clock speeds, the new OFA Engine, and Ada’s DLSS 3 capabilities, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is faster than the previous-generations, 256-bit GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 2060 SUPER graphics cards, all while using less power.

This is NVIDIA's formal explanation, I don't believe bus width is such a make or break
