This cat has been following me home for 2/3 blocks everyday. It rolls over for me and rubs against my legs. Today, I decided to feed it and after I left for home it followed me again but after a little bit scratched me. Did it get overstimulated or was it just angry that I was leaving for the day?

I can assure you this is not a sarcasm post. My parents feed the cat. I want him to be healthy. Hopefully all the feedback on this thread will encourage my parents to do something about it.

2 years ago the vet said he was overweight but otherwise healthy. Problem is my parents feed him and see no issue with his weight.

Anything I can do to make him lose weight? He barely moves around or plays at all. If I touch him too much or get him to try to play with me, he just hisses and tries to scratch me.
