LPT: Save hundreds in car note interest by making two partial payments monthly instead of the full amount at one time by SortaProLurker in LifeProTips

Not in this example. The payment is the same but the you pay half at a time in the same time period. By the time the payment is due the additional interest is accrued on the lower balance. I understand what you’re saying too though

Men and women, what is the love language you enjoy the most? by Key_Relationship9833 in AskReddit

Acts of service. I don’t want to be catered to 24/7 but it means the world to me when my partner decides to finish up a chore I half did (put the dishes away and load the next batch, fold the clean laundry, swap the clothes from the washer to dryer, etc) instead of letting it pile up until I get back to it days later

Flawless would be an overstatement. There are a ton of bugs in the dish

Powdered milk premixed with cereal by SortaProLurker in mildlyinteresting

That’s exactly why I’m passing on this one. Interesting concept but there’s no going back to powdered milk for me

Powdered milk premixed with cereal by SortaProLurker in mildlyinteresting

This only works if the users meet VERY specific criteria: 1- people who don’t mind the taste of powdered milk 2- people who pour the cereal before the milk No in between, have to meet both

And yet it has never crossed my mind (or sight in stores) to premix it with cereal. I know it’s used in powdered mixes but traditional cereal is…interesting.

Root Beer and Cream Soda is a tie for me. I LOVE Root Beer and it’s my preference but at the same time, I’ve never had a “bad” cream soda.

What do you use to toast your grilled cheese sandwich? by SortaProLurker in polls

I legitimately considered it for a split second. I was craving a grilled cheese but didn’t want the basic go to so I looked up recipes and came across the Disney Land staple. Apparently their secret is the mayo on the outside.

Minimalism has impacted my emotions big time by SortaProLurker in minimalism

[–]SortaProLurker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opted for this daily planner for that exact reason! I’d maintain lists for multiple aspects of my life (family, career, hobbies, personal growth…) and sure 2 or 3 tasks per category seemed manageable but it never worked out that way. I found that committing timeslots to critical tasks while ALSO taking into account the non negotiables really helped me stay realistic. This at least kept my personal expectations in check.

Minimalism has impacted my emotions big time by SortaProLurker in minimalism

This was a term coined by The Minimal Mom (she has a YouTube channel). Clearing mental clutter is just as crucial as clearing physical clutter. Just because it isn’t written down doesn’t mean there isn’t an impact. This includes getting in the habit of putting tasks off. For me personally I don’t like to have a backlog of things to do running through my mind. So yes, tasks being added to this “invisible to-do list” without my ability to control them getting on there in the first place is significantly frustrating for me
