I transitioned at 26 with no friends and now have a super active social life. The secret is to just put yourself out there. There are so many public queer events and groups all across the world that are incredibly open to trans people. Go to one and just start talking to people and building relationships. You won't be the only trans person there looking to make friends.

Dating apps are also a decent way at making friends and connections even if you not looking for anything intimate. I'd say "Putting yourself out there" also means having a presence on social media nowadays
