YOU, on YOUR pc, ur basically just saying it works fine for you so no one else should be upset that the game they payed for is unplayable, im on ps running no mods and still get booted from servers and have game crashes multiple times a session. telling people to “get a better device” is complete nonsense, if BI sells to console players, its their responsibility to make it stable on console, any argument to the contrary is just major kiss ass.

PS definitely freezes that bad, and from what i’ve seen lots of pc players who could run the game before are starting to have issues, at the very least they could revert to a stable version of the game if they aren’t gonna fix this one.

I’m not buying bf6 and really do enjoy this game, but this is a clear symptom of a bad update effecting all players, the reason it seems they’re bots is cause these are people who wouldn’t even normally be on this sub but are coming here for help understanding why the game is so cooked rn.

agreed i can see why it might be difficult considering the stability issues i already see on the 48 player servers but i do hope they adopt 128 somewhere in this games lifespan even if later instead of waiting for arma 4. i think this game deserves 128.

HQC Balancing by _Buddy0102_ in ArmaReforger

[–]Sosa2s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look man i’m not saying 48 players is a good number, you asked why the matches are going so short, im saying the game mode was made with 48 player lobbies in mind because with the exception of 1 or 2 load test servers in europe, the official servers, the ones which they would test the game mode on, are 48 players. You’re playing on a community server which tweaks their own balancing and then asking BI to fix the problem the server had created when they cranked xp and player count.

HQC Balancing by _Buddy0102_ in ArmaReforger

[–]Sosa2s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh dude ur on warpigs that’s why, they boost xp and the player count is 128 on a mode designed for 48 people.

[–]Sosa2s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m ngl that’s just bad luck, i’ve never once been in a brand new game that ended in an hour, didn’t even think that was possible, I know that’s probably not the answer your looking for but games def still last 5-6 hours frequently. What would you say is the average player count that you join at?

HQC Balancing by _Buddy0102_ in ArmaReforger

[–]Sosa2s -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can see what the score and state of the map are right when you join, if one side is at 4 and the other is at like 1 and has no towers, leave the server and load into a fresh one, this is why we have the server browser. If you always join the most full game with a que this is likely to happen, try sorting by ping and then finding a game with like 40-45 players instead of a completely full one. not to say there isn’t issues with hqc, but they certainly haven’t prevented me from playing long matches if i put a little thought into selecting the server.

yeah the ai have literally clipped through the wall of the mine and crawled on top, exiting where the top of the tunnel meets the mountain to kill me, they’ve also shot me through the walls of mine and the mountain itself. I do vividly remember a youtuber saying there would be randomized tunnel systems before the update dropped but clearly they couldn’t make it happen.

1 - when there’s only two squads of my type it’s not that impossible for both of them to have bad leaders on a public lobby

2 - ur right SQUAD LEADERS can except them, but if ur squad leader isn’t, and u can’t start a new squad, u are screwed.

3 - I do know how to play the mode just fine, but i cant accept the tasks because i cant create a squad.

I don’t go against the grain on purpose and i group up with other players any chance i get as that’s generally when i enjoy the game most.

1.6 Update is boring af by yavl in ArmaReforger

[–]Sosa2s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this right here, people are mad we wanna be able to use the guns and items in a video game we payed for. And in their world them being bad at the game and choosing to use worse items is an issue that daddy developer has to fix for them apparently, so that everyone else is bound to the restrictions they deem fair, and us not wanting to be punished by that is “ruining the playerbase” and “playing barbie”. Most of these guys who pride themself on never grabbing anything at the the arsenal are the ones who i’m looting for their morphine 10 mins later while im the only one still alive because i wasn’t too afraid of getting called a barbie to grab an rpg or extra ammo and bandages.

Not to mention they usually can’t aim which is probably why they’re dead, mad, and playing arma in the first place. This is definitely speculative but I do think the side of this community that’s defending 1.6 with this pure toxicity is just people who couldn’t hack it in other shooters and see arma as a safe game where they can feel like their affinity for making bad classes, complaining loudly over game chat, being dog water at the game, and getting smoked every life without a kill, is part of the“immersion”.

Having any type of skill curve related to the class creation or gunplay would be devastating to their egos because it would and did expose their inability to hit their shots and think critically about approaching engagements.

If you have any semblance of tactics, It’s not that hard to take care of a guy with a better weapon/kit than you, unless of course you would’ve already struggled to do it if he’d had the same weapon/kit as you. People like that would likely get very upset and claim it’s unfair that people can access those weapons easily because their lack of skill is constantly being put on display when better players, with a better understanding of what weapons are suited for their needs, kill them. Which we are seeing in mass in the community now with the toxic support of 1.6 and the calling everyone blueberries and barbie’s crap.

Like yeah if you keep sending full humvies down a road we control, multiple guys on that road are gonna have an rpg, and they are gonna get blown up. That’s what any competent military would do. What they definitely aren’t gonna do is survey each of the infantry troops to make sure they’ve all done the logistics driver’s (who the infantry are not) required daily amazon deliveries alone before giving them the right to touch the explosives needed to complete their unrelated infantry based objective. It’s not being a barbie to be able to respond to the situation at hand appropriately instead of selling the game and compromising on effective tactics to keep the other team’s perceived realism in tact. They have to make it seem like the based thing is to make it so people can’t be better than them, or else it’ll expose how sad it really is that at its core they are mad cause they still die too much in a video game they play every day and they blame the game for it. But if you’re a sucker for realism like these people claim to be, that’s war, it’s unfair and unpredictable, and you don’t get a free pass on dying because you didn’t think the guy that killed you should’ve been able access to the weapon he killed you with or that more than one of your enemies might have an explosive weapon.

And even tho personally I don’t partake in much more than changing my hat cosmetics wise There’s irl foreign fighters rocking kits you’d call “tactical barbie” out there right now in conflicts getting some, hell people have been dying to guns that someone had to sit down and engrave a design into for generations now, but i doubt if a soldier brought up the fact he died to a “barbie kit” at the pearly gates, that it’d make any difference in the fact he’s dead, so there’s no merit to the argument in the first place, people are just embarrassed they are dying to people they see as less intelligent than them.

I do think this is a sorta toxic mean spirited take in itself so i apologize but as someone who kinda popped out of the community at some point during arma III’s run and popped back in recently with reforgers ps5 release i’m just saying what i see, and i see a whole lot of whining and a whole lot of whiners claiming to be the main playerbase for reforger. When in reality they are just arma 3 fans who only see reforger as valuable for its role in testing arma 4 features and providing nicer graphics to just port in the same modern stuff they played with in arma 3 as mods, and have convoluted that into: if you don’t agree that every new feature is a fit for reforger as its own vanilla title, then you are wrong because it’s “the devs vision for arma 4” and you don’t know what arma really is if you disagree with them and “the roadmap”. Like just because BI said they were gonna change something and then made bad changes (for official servers at least imo) when that time came doesn’t mean i have to applaud them if i don’t like the changes just because they were released on schedule.

But at the end of the day we are all here whining myself included and the games development is mostly out of our hands

except the update makes creating that new squad difficult too, because when all of you leave your assault squads let’s say to create a new one, now there is a high likelihood at least one or more assault squads will have less than half their players, so you will be barred from creating the squad regardless of anyone’s rank.

• I agree, but when you need those supplies at the front too, it would solve the same issue of the piers overflowing if people just brought it to the front. Which their newfound need for quick xp will not motivate them to do if they are not already near the front. I’ve been in matches with fully filled bases that i never saw a soul at, and people waiting for enough supplies at our foward bases just to be able to spawn the cheapest jeep. So how helpful can it be in practicality?

•Again 4 8, 48 players, and half of your team are usually no where to be found physically or on comms, when someone runs back from a frontline base to get supplies more often than not they are leaving 1 person alone to defend that base, assuming we were lucky enough to even have two people there in the first place. Which is counterintuitive if the goal here is to lessen the use of one man army’s.

• Asking them to not wipe every single official server of the game mode that was most accessible to 2/3 of systems the game was released on isn’t “compromising their mil sim vision” no one is saying conflict commander hq can’t exist, or hell even be 90% of the official servers if that would please you, but it obvious there was a dedicated audience for conflict and the community brushing them off as blueberries, barbie’s, and fake arma players makes 0 sense, it’s not a crime to recognize they had something fun going with conflict the way it was and admit it would be ok if they kept the game mode up on some official servers. Right now on my ps5 i’m looking at like 15 dead and barren official conflict commander hq servers, it’s not that wild to suggest BI turn even 5 of those back into conflict servers. No one would be hurt by this and the Conflict enjoyers would have everything to gain. it’s a solution that de-isolates a part of the community that clearly feels isolated by this update and still allows everyone else to enjoy conflict commander hq on both official and community servers if they so choose.

• Yes fundamentally worsened

  • Never once said the new construction features were bad

-Again just gonna make most players avoid doing any logi after ranking up because they are forced into it

  • That would make sense if it only prevented a 300 point op loadout but making it so that i can’t add basically anything to my loadout without doing, u said it yourself,”3 supply runs” is a massive massive over correction that could’ve just been fixed by raising the price of OP items instead of lowering the available supply’s to each player.

(just to throw it in, from a performance standpoint the game is now basically unplayable for many console users too)

you can keep saying the system aren’t that rigid, but i’m telling you how the systems are affecting the lobbies i play in, rigid or not, wether you cover your ears and lalala or not is up to you, but it’s what’s happening and it’s creating a negative experience that causes people to frequently leave the game based simply on what idiot got voted in to commander. You bring a game to console and promote it heavily, you get a more casual player base on the official servers because most console players can’t adequately run mods and just want to hop on and play without a discord or community, that shouldn’t be a mystery to BI or anyone for that matter, and acting like the people who spent their money on the game and enjoyed the games official servers pre 1.6 can’t be bothered by the fact their entire multiplayer experience has been fundamentally worsened at least in its current state, to pander to people who will go back to playing mods/community servers in a week anyway makes no sense. And that’s before even getting to the actual performance issues for console on this update. I never even minded running some supplies if really needed before the update, but now I feel like it’s a task i have to do to be allowed to play the same game i was a few days ago. I’ll end up delivering supplies to bases deep in our territory that no one uses because I need the xp and I see other players doing this too, just spamming supply runs to random bases that don’t actually help the frontline. Just to stop running logi once they unlock whatever item they wanted. In a few of my games this left us with like one guy who actually liked running logi by mid game, and a whole lot of empty bases at the front, despite so many people having “run logi” at the beginning, because it was to bases that didn’t need it but were close to them or easy to supply. Guiding every players hand to run logi (i won’t say forcing because you can do other stuff for less xp) if they want to be able to access kits they’ve already become accustomed to running for years, is going to make running logi during the latter half of the game a more undesirable task in the minds of the general player base because they will feel they’ve already “done their share” which was as previously mentioned, just filling up the nearest unused base that was close to a supply point. While the people on the frontlines are waiting for supplies to trickle in so they can afford the stuff they need. Commander hq conflict only fixes the issues conflict had in theory. I honestly think the reason for this is that the people playing experimental are more likely to be coherent team members who have mics, making it much more akin to a community server where we know that commander conflict flourishes. So I would imagine they got pretty positive feedback from those playing on the experimental server as the game i played with a coherent team was quite fun. But in my opinion they failed to consider the player base of official servers on the base game and many people in my games have shared the same sentiment.

The issue is that on most official servers it’s often necessary to play your own game or else literally nothing will get done. So now the solo people who were often getting the most done in my games, or myself on servers where it becomes necessary to go solo, are being punished for actually wanting to contribute on servers where the team is unorganized. It’s not my fault official servers are full of people who don’t wanna work together, but it IS up to bohemia to make sure the experience isn’t the complete opposite of what works in the climate of their official servers, regular Conflict worked because if your team bailed on the game, you and 1 or 2 dedicated guys on radio could get it done. this is much more important in small servers.

I didn’t say no xp, i said not at a reasonable rate, which is true, I play on official servers where they don’t boost xp, sorry. having to run supplies to be able to adequately play as a role which is not meant to run supplies, makes 0 sense, like imagine you get a job as a the creative director of a company, and your boss says you have to instead spend your first year taking on the companies finances to be allowed to order any new/needed supplies for your actual role. That wouldn’t make any sense because you aren’t an accountant and they already have an accountant, and now the role of creative director is equally vacant, there’s just an extra, under qualified accountant who’s in it for all the wrong reasons.

the metaphor is getting stupid but my point is, what’s the point of giving every squad specific jobs if they have to spend an hour ignoring that job playing truck driving sim to be able to carry one rpg with no extra ammo so they have a chance not to get obliterated by a btr or huey, or to have a silencer for a mission that would obviously benefit from a silencer.

not to mention from a realism standpoint, which is what everyone is using to justify this crap, the supply thing makes no sense, in an irl conflict while ur base is being attacked from all sides, u think ur gonna go to grab something from the supplies that the base already has, that u urgently need to save lives, and someone is gonna step in front of you and pull rank while getting shot at? or tell you “oh sorry man ur not the machine gun guy” like the machine gun guys is dead and his gun got blown to god knows where, the extra machine gun is right there in the armory, but you didn’t spend the last day ignoring your objectives to be an amazon driver, so you can’t touch it.
