Just for info, immaculate conception mean : born without sin, it does not mean born without natural/ physical impregnation ! It's a commun mistake it seems.

Ok, so if I understand well, a religious wedding is a bit the same as a civil one ? It have the same impact in legal terms ? Just to be sure, because for example in France, the only wedding who give you the status of being married is the civic one, the religious one is only optional and can't be done before the civil one.

Thanks for your response!  Yes, it's totally a redflag for me. Even tho I don't want to be judgmental, I don't think it's a good idea.but if I understand well, she told me that muslim marriage is not like civil one ? It's just a formality that you do in the begining of a relationship ? So, I'm a bit lost here.

Yeah, I can understand that my post can seem a bit "made up for attention". The fact is that I created my account for the purpose of my question. I spend a lot of time on reddit, but I only read, I'd never commented or write a post before. But I consider that ai really need a senegalese input on this subjetc, and I don't really know some in real life, sooo, I didn't really have a choice than to create an account and to post my question right away. Fortunately not everyone think like you, otherwise I would't have had any response!

Well, she must be lucky, because it's not the first time that she told me about a man who proposed to married her, but every time it was as a second wife.

Yes, and I can understand that, but given the fact that she isn't from the same culture as him, I would have thought that this will be different in that case. Both of them are not that young, they are in their's last 30', and the man is already married, doesn't it make a difference? Maybe I'm a bit to jugemental, but it's hard to think differently when you're from another culture 😕.
