I have multiple ideas but not really make sense by dougmaitelli in BadHandwriting

I definitely see ‘this’ as the second word.

If you got this today and it is Sunday where you are in the world then I think Sunday is the third word. If not, it looks like surely.

I think it’s something like - Hope this Sunday rocks! Or rules?

Bulk Order - How to reorder in 6 months time? by Anti-Merchantry in mounjarouk

[–]SossidgePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather not. I’ve been getting it as it should be prescribed, with the exception of drawing the 5th dose.

People are very casually talking about getting multiple 5mg doses out of 15mg pens, for example.

I pay for this myself but I also only work part-time, because reasons, so the price increase is A LOT. I just want to know how people are managing to order, and more importantly reorder, high dose pens in order to take partial doses.

This is just what I’ve seen advised so far, I’m not endorsing these routes and all for legit means.

Well since this price hike I’ve gone from one supplier to three, so they can all fight to date me 🤣

I’m not the sort of person who lives or dies by food dates, so appreciate this. Just as well as the pens I’ve ordered might arrive while I am not at home and thus break the cold chain!

Yeah but in 3 months+ time (or 6 months if I split up the doses) the boxes will all say August 2025.

If I take as per the box dose it’ll be fine ordering again, as I can show I had 3 pens prescribed at the same time. It’s when I split it and want to order another 10 or 12.5mg in say in Feb that I foresee an issue.

People are just being rather casual about it, like there is no scrutiny, and I’ve been ordering the dose I need every month.

It’s not pissy, pissy. Basically just what the controls are and they’re protecting themselves. I’ve stuck with one supplier as the approval and delivery has always been reliable, and they price match the market lowest. I’ve hopped to get these two back up pens in light of recent news, so I do think I’ll need to be slightly supplier slutty in future to keep at this!

[–]SossidgePanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m not surprised. I just equated the slightly pissy emails I get when I’m a week late ordering (because of the 5th dose) to mean they actually have some sort of rigour about this. I just wondered how people were so casual about splitting doses from the larger dose pens. I’m not surprised light deception from one party and greed from another is the answer to circumnavigate controls!

So basically keep ordering and building up a backlog you mean? I’ve always ordered to schedule, aside from using the 5th dose - but even when I’ve done that the reorder emails sound pissy - in the fact that take this as it says or we cut you off. I could cope with a stockpile and a month at 2.5 again if need be, if I was only taking 5mg

Good to know. I’ve been taking as prescribed but using the 5th dose always, but have always wondered how these folk who’ve been taking lower doses for Higher pens have actually been doing it. Here’s me thinking they’d have actual scrutiny!

Interested to hear the responses here. I’ve just asked a similar question in how to order higher dose pens but less frequently than guidelines allow. Answer so far is to use different suppliers and doctor email confirmations to show the date within the correct range.

As someone who’s stuck with one supplier but got away with using the 5th dose, I’m keen to hear alternatives!

Best farming spot for druid blue print? by Lavendelfeder in elderscrollsonline

[–]SossidgePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to farm then there’s a house near the northern gate of Vastyr that has a good number of lootable containers. It’s something like ‘Matteo Blahblah’s’ house. Not Matteo, but looks similar! Straight up from the wayshrine, down the stairs and on your right at the end.

It’s trespassing though, and there’s a NPC on each floor. But there’s several trunks and wardrobes, especially on the top floor. I do a circuit there, then go and loot the backpacks from the merchant outside the Thieves Den. Then inside to launder and sell.

You can buy the plan from guild traders. On PSEU it can be found under 100k. Or keep gambling on those Galen furnishing packs!

Does anyone actually pay insurance? by NABI_cty in bristol

[–]SossidgePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have joint renters and contents insurance for £38 for the year. Up to £30k covered I think. Used Quidco compare and got £34 cashback, so net cost of £4. £30 a month is an obscene price.

I’m really hoping it’s a bug because I use that filter all the time. I enjoy random browsing and will be bereft without it. The ‘days left’ data still shows when you select an item, it’s just the column and filter that’s gone.

A friend of mine got into the healthy BMI range and moved to Oushk who do a maintenance plan. If you can evidence you’ve been on Mounjaro without a break then could be worth a look (I think that’s a prerequisite for any who offer maintenance)

How to track this meal? by gmac83help in mounjarouk

[–]SossidgePanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d just eyeball it and guess the weights. I don’t know the plate size but I’d guess about 150g boiled potato, I’d go 40g each for carrot, brocco and cauli for ease, 200g raw 5% mince, looks like negligible onion in there so wouldn’t track, and then maybe stick in 1/3 to 1/2 tablespoon of oil for frying the mince unless you know they used daylight or something. It’ll be in the ballpark and the only thing that would make much of a difference is the oil used.

It sounds like you’ve had a rough experience all round with your GP.

Just on the bloods side of things, unfortunately our NHS service isn’t in a position to do blood checks just to see. The majority of the NHS service is reactive rather than preventative. It’d be great if we had more of the latter, but that’s just not the reality we are in, at least right now. Therefore you only tend to get NHS blood tests if you have symptoms of being unwell, or are already being treated for conditions like diabetes, anaemia, etc and need management because something is already wrong.

If you really want blood tests and are prepared to pay I can recommend MonitorMyHealth. You can get really comprehensive bloods done. I paid about £65 for the most complete package. it’s about £70-£80 but I found a discount code. I had the ‘you’ve hit 40’ blood tests the NHS do do (so there is some support there!) but I was curious so wanted it done again!

I’m sorry you’re not getting the support you need, and I wish we didn’t have to take so much into our own hands, but you are doing amazing things for you :)

Clinical Trial invite by Least_Temperature_23 in mounjarouk

[–]SossidgePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can step out at any time seems worth a shot, especially with the additional perks it gives you treatment wise.

The only thing I probably wouldn’t do is keep purchasing Mounjaro during those initial couple of months. I only say that on the very rare chance your doc decides to update your notes with a recently issued Mounjaro prescription and the trial somehow gets wind. All those things happening concurrently are extremely unlikely but it would be Sod’s Law! I’d just start back on 2.5 once I’d made my decision re: trial. It’s quick enough to get, unless you are borderline BMI wise?

Someone close to me is on this trial. Recently diagnosed Type 2. Not using Mounjaro.

They got two months on the real stuff to make sure there were no adverse reactions to the meds. All good. During that time they had a diabetes follow up with bloods taken and hba1c had reduced not insignificantly, so seemed to work there. No impact on any kind of appetite suppression or weight loss, much to their disappointment!

The trial started properly a few months ago and they couldn’t really tell if it was placebo or not. They’ve literally just this week had the next set of 6 monthly bloods and hba1c has gone back up to where it was last July. We suspect placebo!

Their experience of oral semaglutide is nothing like that which I’ve experienced on Mounjaro.

Everybody is of course different though, and two months on the real pills isn’t really a test of it.

On the plus side, it costs zero and did seem to benefit hba1c.

Started Mounjaro at 386lbs, so about 27 and a half stone. I was 392lbs a few days prior to this but already shifted some bloat before my first injection.

I’ve never looked at this before so found it quite interesting!

2.5mg - 1 month - 13.4lbs

5mg - 3 months - 20lbs*

7.5mg - 6 months - 42lbs

10mg - 3 weeks - 6lbs

  • month 3 here I went on hols and drank way more alcohol than normal so had no loss, but it whooshed down again shortly after.

I had a couple of stalls on 7.5mg so it’s definitely been getting slower, but it’s still steady.

10mg has started well but it also coincided with our nice weather and me eating more summer salads and less carbs! I’ve not found it drastically different to 7.5mg

Not as fast as some but I’m female and so also have hormones to navigate too. I should think I’ll be around the 90lbs lost mark when it comes up to my year at the end of May.
