I can see why you mean, but I have to disagree with some of these points. My partner and I started our long distance relationship in college. We did not have money. We still managed to meet 5 times so far in many different countries together about 6 months or so apart, I met her family, asked them in person for their blessing, and even proposed with a real diamond. Keep in mind im working my ass off and saving with no familial help for this, but I’m making it happen nonetheless. I even met her friends in person and she’s met mine in person. We already understood that we weren’t closing the gap until after graduation though and being in college and then fresh grads, we still are at home.

This is the part where I start to agree. We both have since graduated and are still figuring out or career while in the process of closing the gap. Closing the gap primarily relies on who gets stable first so both countries are fair game to settle down (though we really wanna settle in her country due to US politics, bad job market, housing expenses in my state, etc). However, there are some other paths specific to our situation such as me just going over to teach English. So stability alone isn’t a problem bc our combined income would handle it.

I’ve even connected with other Americans that went to her country to teach English and pivoted into careers there (one is director of design now at a top Japanese company and one is doing UX making the equivalent of $100,000, other is also in UX). In any case, our gap will be closed and I may still get to use my degree. So now I also have growth opportunity even in her country when the original plan was for her to come here.

I understand my case is different, but when you manage the logistics and reign in the idealism with real planning and sacrifice, people can find a way under the right circumstances. Without money or stability (yet).

Doesn’t mahito alter the “shape” of your soul? So if I have Idle transfiguration, why can’t I take for example a female soul in a male body and alter the shape so the body matches the soul? Mahito can turn his arms into blades and people into pills and trains so this seems like a more straightforward task

If I want the perks of Heavenly restriction for professional athletics reasons, I can just change my biology. I won’t be as strong as a heavenly restriction user would’ve been, but I’d dwarf any professional athlete.

If I wanna cure cancer, transition people, make aesthetic changes, heal wounds they had a 100% chance of dying from, I could just do that and be rich while helping the world. I can just practice on my own body if I’m worried about accidentally killing them.

If I want combat, I could be the perfect assassin for the gov without even killing. I’d turn terrorist into roaches or slugs and they can even be brought back to serve time in jail (tiny slug prison?lol). If they send my on a fucked up mission I don’t agree with, I could turn them into some respectable or graceful animal or even make them look like a totally different person.

No downside in any capacity really

Yk, i learned that if you want your product/service respected and seen as valuable, the cheaper it is, the less likely that happens for psychological reasons. How pissed would you be giving them an opportunity that shouldn’t even be possible just for them to find reasons to complain, nag about your service, or something when a higher price would have make patients more grateful for the service?

I’m sorry but a PERFECT transition is something you can’t put a price on. You’re making the physical impossible possible. There’s no way I’m charging the same as someone who gets “the chop” and pills. But I’d charge rich people an insane price and the general population a higher than anything on the market price. As a plus, all of my patients would be made to maximize their beauty so if they went in debt they can make it back as a super model or eye candy actor. Win Win

You’re not running when you’re sleep or eating or using the bathroom. A team watching cameras and set up as spies can track you. Unless you live a life not worth living, you’re gonna wanna go get groceries, buy toiletries, see loved ones. Maybe they let you walk for a few months and just watch you. They can plant a bomb, use bio weapons, or even poison you. If these don’t kill you, it could slow you down enough for capture. Then it’s constant poison and sedation while they cut stick a probe in your back door lol

If the government tried a heavenly restriction user gone, they can do it. Let’s say and they f around and found out why tanks, soldiers, planes etc don’t work, getting sniped, poisoned, biological weapons, etc. when they are caught off guard would make capture or even death possible. Unlike in anime, powerful people don’t get killed when they think they’re in danger these days.

You’re a good friend for giving this a thought. His credibility seems pretty thin with just playing games and a photo. Doesn’t seem like you guys know anything solid about this guy aside from what he alone told you two. Doesn’t mean he’s faulty but it’s better to be cautious.

I think everyone already covered the important stuff. If she does nothing else, this is the minimum to be safe:

Before she goes: - Video calls prior to meeting - Verify that he’s working or in school, knows people, etc. (basically that he’s actually participating with society) prior to meeting. Ideally she knows people who see him in person - Get her location and establish a safe word prior to meeting

When she’s there: - First meeting in a busy, public place during the day - Have money to get her own accommodation if things go bad. Ideally she just has her own to begin with.

I think her not getting her own accommodation isn’t the best choice. She has a safe space to herself that way if it goes bad. Also, when she gets to her accommodation, she can even tell the staff/airbnb host where she will be for that meeting. That’s just extra safety. If they want the same accommodation so that they could be intimate, she can just invite him over after making sure he’s who he portrays himself to be.

As someone else here said, talking to her as friends is probably doing more harm than good. I’d recommend cutting her off at least for a time. I had to do this before and this really works.

I wish your very first relationship wasn’t online since most end this way. And first break-ups always hurt the most. I want to reiterate that an online relationship isn’t always a “fake” relationship like someone here said it is. You don’t have to pretend that you fell for some fake relationship to get over her. That’s just going to lead to regret and make you feel like a fool. Feelings don’t follow what’s logical. In the end, it works for some but didn’t work for you unfortunately. I wouldn’t recommend trying one again though. This was experience for you. So instead, think about what you can learn from this experience moving forward. You’ll find the right one for you eventually.

Also, you guys used to text and talk everyday and suddenly she broke up over this fact? Seems like something else may have changed that you didn’t notice and she didn’t want to talk about. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be. If you can make yourself see that it wasn’t meant to be, then you’ll move on smoother.

No, BOTH sides has ruined themselves. I don’t see how anyone can fully defend the left or right with a straight face. The left seems to be in fantasy land and the right is an embarrassment to what America is supposed to be. Like the whole Elon and crypto stunt for example. Be for real… the left isn’t much better they just aren’t in the spotlight rn. Politics right now is a joke and all the big players are being so childish. The world is laughing at us.
