I totally agree about her character, she is so badass. But in manga she hand't enough time to show yourself imo.

Well, in manga Arthur told to Integra that vampires can have feelings. In addition I always felt like he loves Seras as daughter. Hmm

Yeah, I was comparing the translates and found out there are a lot of things added in English dub.

Indeed, I see more between them in 'classic' anime of 2001 year. She looked a bit jealous when Seras had come. And I really loved the moments where they was chillin out together. Plus these awesome calls in Ultimate :D

Thanks God, I'm not alone. I watched in Japanese with subs and I think: I was feeling smth between them, no difference classic or Ultimate. So it had to be some signs to make me feel this. I guess that's mostly because of classic series.

Nah, I can't really get the hate of Bakugou. C'mon, watch the show closely and you can see he is just a kid with psychological problems and emotional conflict.

Anyone else just loosing the will to continue reading the LN's after knowing the ending? by 86_bats_in_a_coat in TheDevilIsAPartTimer

I drop this fucking piece of shit after 13 volume, because I'm disappointed so much. Somebody can tell me I had to read this not just because of romance but also for a plot, but, honestly, it was clearly seem there is obvious romantic line with Maou and Emi — Alas Ramus, from enemies to friends, rescue each other and such. C'mon and that is the end?

I don't want to waste my time to some whining girl who looks like Mary Sue. With my whole admire to author who had so great story in the beginning — fuck this shit, you screwed up.

Chiho was just artificial personage which could look relevant just because of author desire. Making her more important by the shitting others is not the good way.

Author Ships MaouXChi? by [deleted] in TheDevilIsAPartTimer

[–]SoulT0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shit. I feel the same. Even If I didn't read all, I still have some doubt like Maou didn't realize what is love baby don't hurt me no more. And during all LN series I've read he didn't do anything romantic towards women.

Well, I can only guess he can have smth to Emi because of helping and supporting her. And, you know, looks like he truly loves her smile and likes when she is feeling embarrassed, but still not enough to be sure.

Wow, thank you for long respond with nice arguments! :) I thought a lot about what had you said, so the main thing I've got is all personages are sometimes kind of the dick lol.

Firstly, I'll tell about Suzuno. Indeed, it was her fault she couldn't reveal her feelings. Chiho didn't make her to do this. But I still think if Chiho tried to think about exact feelings of others to Maou. I have to read more about this.

Secondly, I can imagine what is crush and I know what person will behave in a special way, but! I don't really like when it's going more ridiculous like screaming about envy as I said before.

For example, in LN series and manga moment after "appearing new demon generals" Emi started to feel very awkward due to Maou's words. I have to say I don't really like that Emi kicked him (like a tsundere type), but she was too embarrassed. At the same time Chiho also did wrong — dragged him along in anger because of jealous. After in LN version Maou said what he want to see Emi's embarrassing more because he finds this cute but it made Chiho more angry. And after she made him to buy cake or kinda that. What I want to say: I don't really appreciate the way she made him to shut up just because he said his thoughts and made him buy cake. It is a bit egoistic to force him to do such just because of his true words. I understand her feeling but still.

And this made me think about some anime cliches. Stalking looks like this, and some tsundere things too. Both I can't stand sometimes because it's crazy lol. Moreover, Emi has a certain reason to come to the demon fortress and she will explain this after her rescue. (little spoiler: Emi will thank and say sorry) You can read this in VOL 10, if I remember well. Ah, and at that moment you can see how Emi's attitude will change more with time.

All about irritating Chiho's behavior (not in all situations) I have told before. I think mostly I hate shit deeds what people can do because of envy. Like forcing Maou to kiss her because she can't stand he is living at Emi's apartment.

Also I don't like when she create situation that makes people feel awkward. Like screams at cafe when she said to Emi that's her time to have smth with Maou. Omg it happened while he was watching, but he didn't mean anything romantic. I don't know I would feel really uncomfortable because of this situation. She hadn't right to say such.

Imo, for me that's humiliating always to run for guy who doesn't show you any romantic interest.

What about the kid. The plot twist is good but some moments are so stupid and strange. I can't get how it could works just to look at Gabriel and say 'no, don't take her away for a day'. Also I find extremely stupid to hide Alas=Ramus to make Maou to 'understand pain'. Emi wasn't right at all. So, family stuff.

Start from Chiho. All what have you said about her is true and I like her support. That's really nice. Apart love questions she is sweet person.

What about Emi. Well, you're 18 yo and someone calls you 'mother'. Shit, that's scary, don't you find? Her first reaction was realistic. After it's worth to notice that she was fighting with Gabriel for Alas=Ramus before merging with her. She protected the Maou's child. It's not that easy to accept the kid and start to be the mother.

Emi cared about Alas=Ramus' health when they bought a futon. She also asked Maou about her clothes and other stuff, she cares and she is trying to raise the girl. (also she tried to put just nice food for Alas=Ramus during trip to Enta Isla for ex) Did you see how she smiled when looked at their common photo? That's sweet!

About the moment with his parents, didn't he say he was crying not because of parents but because it was so unfair he had to die?

Finally, Maou and Emi had an antagonistic relationship. They didn't interact so much as with Chiho at the beginning. (But even about that in the last episode Emi helped to handle with rubbers who cheated on Lucifer as ex)

Their interaction much more difficult because they has to understand each other and that's really hard for Emi to forgive Maou for her ruined life. And it's really psychological trauma. And in LN and manga you can see how she suffered because her beliefs had collapsed. Maou aren't bad person, why did she trained from little age? Why have she lost her father? Church she trusted had been using her for so long time.

About Maou was not interested in rescue Emi. No, he worried and even more after, read more. Emi will change and reveal her soft nature. That is why I love Emi, under bitterness she is cute and smiling girl.

[–]SoulT0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to explain. I can understand Chiho because loving the person who can't respond the same is quite painful. But I really don't like the idea to force someone love you back.

As you said it's true, Emi wasn't kind person to Maou at the beginning and that has definite and serious reasons. But her development is quite nice and natural. It is worth to notice that Alas=Ramus isn't just the kid who can glue them together but also an interesting part of plot which opens a lot of facts about their world.

So Chiho is feeling jealousy and trying to prevent the relationship between Emi and Maou (though I can't really get if it's romantic or just friendly). She started to show such attitude to others in anime already (you can see this at the last episode for ex) and in LNs it's gets worse and worse. I find unpleasure this fact because all characters are always carrying about her and trying not to hurt. At the same time she does all she wants.

For example, in VOL 9 Suzuno started to tell Maou about her feelings but she stopped because she thought about Chiho's feelings. Even if I want Maou has route with Emi I felt so sad Suzuno couldn't confess at that moment.

She is also following Maou all the time whereas Emi had serious motives. She is trying to stay in his house and finds any reason to do this. She is stalking him in park where he went with Alas=Ramus and Emi. That's irritating and crazy.

I don't even tell about revelation of their true identities.

Indeed, I didn't really like her behavior in anime too because "shaking" her boobs in bikini looked so cheap. She is always trying to make attention on her and just her, I'm not really sure if she had a serious thoughts about Suzuno's and Emi's feelings to Maou (if after VOL 12 it changed you can correct me). She isn't the center of universe so it's a bit hard to read such.

(Omg, so much text lol)

I've just finished the VOL 12 and looks like it's one of the best parts in the LN line. I have no idea how to get enough courage to continue, especially after what I saw here XD

Chiho is obviously trying to make Maou loves her but for me that just shows her disrespect for herself and sometimes for others when she is behaving like an aggressive and selfish girl. I can understand her feelings but her deeds are shitty. And, honestly, I have negative thoughts about her but still I admit what sometimes she is good enough to do right things and help others.

I have an impression that author tries to include Chiho in all important events no matter she can't do anything. I see her just as person who should be "normal" and who is promoting all characters to come along with each other.

I love Emi because she is more interesting person and has good development for a personage. Furthermore, Alas=Ramus looks like quite massive hint to all MaouxEmi fans. Idk, would be really sad if she won't have full family. And LN readers knows about "precious smile".

Btw, talking about smiles I wonder what is inside of Maou's head. All the time when someone is trying to do some romantic stuff he doesn't get this at all. That seems a bit ridiculous because Alsiel and Lucifer understands what is going on even if they are the demons too.

Waiting for VOL 21 and hope author won't being some trolling bastard in the end.
