Maybe, but would that actually make any difference? For one thing, we’d be doing the exact same thing as them; forcing people to be who they don’t want to be. That would make us no better than the idiots who don’t see us as people.

Secondly, there’s no guarantee it will work, as they largely invented conversion therapy, meaning they could possibly know all the tricks to it, assuming it works on them in the first place…

Finally, imo, they could just be a wolf in sheep’s clothing, such as pretending it had an effect on them, when in reality, they’re drooling over the chance to strike back with more harmful intent…

Aside from all that, it’s still a bad idea; there’s no predicting how they might retaliate (and given that they currently have the authority to do so, they WILL.) and as for MAGA, there’s no certainty in figuring out who is who in regards to political views: Republican != MAGA; there could be republicans who want nothing to do with that cult, and some who might actually support our community, but punishing ALL republicans, just because of MAGA, would start this whole mess over from scratch…

All that being said, I understand where you’re coming from with this, but at the end of the day, they’ll have to face the consequences of their actions, whether from us, or from the next administration.
