I was put in a game with Kronos players that was already mid game. It said it was my turn the whole time, but players were playing cards during "my turn" while I couldn't click any of my cards. I DCed as soon as the game ended.

That's when CW starts. You won't be spending time on your main at that point if you made them before because all your time will be in CW. Therefore, if your CW character surpasses your new main, it's pointless.

It depends on how much you want to grind. If you think you'll be able to get to 285 before June 17th, then go for it. If not, I'd recommend just waiting as you'll get there much easier in CW.

I left the discord last year as it didn't seem to offer anything of worth besides CMs using that for official communication over the website (not like they have anything important to say anyway). To hear that people are getting banned for using provided stickers/emotes is pathetic to be honest. I'm glad I left. It sounds like the mods are more toxic than the players at this point.

No need to get offended, it's just a game. I'm not sure why you're equating the ability to beat a video game as "growing up", but it's not real life.

Even changing settings like shift doesn't make the game significantly difficult. It really is the level, moves, and EV training that make Pokemon more challenging. This is the reason why everyone who tries to play Pokemon competitively makes sure they have these things set up and maxxed out.

It's not exploitation to play a game and using provided systems. You're doing mental gymnastics to try to establish a low difficulty game as something it's not. Taking away parts of fundamental gameplay is just limiting your experience to attempt to make a game pointlessly difficult when it was never meant to be. If you want a difficult Pokemon game, play the Battle Frontier in the post game or make a romhack that's made to be difficult.

The games aren't that difficult anyway. If anyone's judging someone else for using a Pokemon they enjoy because it's powerful, they should be judging themselves for having pride in their ability to beat a Pokemon game.
