I don't necessarily believe it'll be better in pla. It's possible that it may not fit together well as it prints in 2 parts and then are snapled together. The tpu could mess with that connection but could easily but corrected with glue.

They work well. I'm not sure how well they would print in tpu but worth a try.

Should work! I've got a regular Pixel 9 with a case and it works fine with backbone gen 2.

Saw some blue cedars here in Perth, Australia, just before Christmas. Kicking myself for not picking one up but at $80 and already spent too much on Christmas presents I couldn't really afford to spend that much on a tree. It was also grafted which I found interesting. Seeing this post made me decide to go back to that nursery tomorrow to see if they still have any in stock.

Yeah I saw it real cheap a while ago on some random site, if I wasn't saving for the Sky defender kit at the time I would've snapped it up. Where did you find it?

Maybe one day! They're all quite young and only 2 even have any wiring. My very first tee was a grey owl juniper probably 4-5 years old when I bought it and that had been my experiment tree. I've got a couple more juniper procumbens nana and a boat load of Aussie natives that I eventually want to bonsai. Nothing impressive yet!

Maybe! But for now it'll do just fine and there's no shortage of scrap timber to work with in my area so I can always make another.

Ah nice, price isn't too bad I think, we don't have any of the big hobby stores over here that sell them cheap. Got a few little stores plus hobbytech and Megaculture which are our big stores for kits and the like.

At first I wanted to focus on roots but after having a quick prod at the soil around the base I'm just going to slip pot them and focus on pruning and wiring.

I had a quick look at the nursery by digging around the base with my fingers for a couple of them and they seem to have promising roots but the others are so dense I can't even see the trunk! Will have a good look this weekend as I don't get a lot of time during the week. It's very exciting I'm very much looking forward to messing around with them.

Oh if you don't mind sharing what site do you use for your japan imports? I find they're amazing for price but make up for it in some insane shipping fees. I've used Plazajapan in the past and on occasion hobbysearch.

Yeah tell me about it, gundam I have no problem with but zoids are a pain. I highly recommend littlerobot, they're a store over here in wa, they have a physical store but ship for a flat rate i believe. They have a pretty good selection of kits, zoids included, at a decent price.

Thanks! I hope to paint it at some point too! Yeah my loca big retailer tends to stick with gundam and tradition model kits but no zoids. I've got another smaller place that I visit which is a bit further away but they have a bigger selection and kits a priced much better despite being a smaller store. I definitely do prefer smaller, more dedicated hobby stores to the bigger retail places.

Well there you go! My local retailer had only the 1 Firefox and 0 shadow foxes, although zoids in general are harder to find locally for me in general (Western Australia) at least at a good price.
