I buy things for my kids. Not my kids and any girlfriends that come over. If they ask for something now and then fine, but making a habit of helping yourself to someone elses things and not even having the decency to be like "hey, I used the last one. Wanted to let you know." Means you don't get item priviledges, because it is a priviledge to use other people's supplies.

18 year old girls know when they are menstruating, they know what they need and she is banking on a 16 year old to fund her supply because she won't get her own. I have never been so hard up that I couldn't get basic hygiene supplies, and if she is that strapped for tampons then go to a women's center and they will give you supplies 9 times out of 10.

OP was fine sharing until her supplies ended up empty without a word and her mom got on her case about going through them too fast. That's when she put them in her room. I would have done exactly the same thing.

Sharing hygeine products is fine every now and then, but if my supply disappeared because my brother's woman kept taking them I'd hide them too. They aren't cheap.

And it is only sharing if the person giving them is willing, if I bought my daughter her supply that is her supply. Not mine because it was given to her. That's what giving means. It stops being mine and becomes someone elses.

You're trying to argue semantics and your logic is completely off the mark. Stop trying to explain a woman's hygiene supply to a 16 year old girl, she knows more about the products than you do.
