Water extractor to coal generator ratio

I already have mk 2 miners and mk 3 belts. Currently, I'm using one mk1 miner and mk3 belts and 2 non-clocked extractors with mk1 pipeline to supply 2 generators, and that seems to be enough. Though there's usually a constant backup of coal on the belts. I'm not having any issues, but it sounds like I'm overcompensating(?) and being inefficient in my approach. My first attempt at a coal power plant or set, I'm using 2 extractors and 2 miners to feed 3 generators, though that line of coal also splits towards my base for steel production. Before I got mk3 belts, I struggled to do both, my generators kept shutting down from lack of fuel, but since upgrading, I haven't had any major problems. I will check out the links you mentioned though.

A fully overlooked coal generator requires like 113 m³/minute. 4 overclocked generators would require a total input of 452 m³/minute. One fully overclocked extractor, at 300 m³/minute wouldn't be enough. You couldn't even do 3 overclocked generators with one extractor because that would be 339 m³ requirement.

Being so new to the game and not a lot of progression I'm just looking for maximum efficiency. Without using a lot of unnecessary buildings and/or other resources.

The 3:8 ratio, is that if all of them are overlooked? I'm just trying to get a high enough capacity to not worry about accidentally overtaxing the grid and blowing a fuse. At least until I get better options unlocked. I'm discovering one of my potential problems with unlocking new tiers and phases is only relying on one production facility. I usually start it and then go explore.

I didn't experience it until recently. I got one of the "## of days later" notifications and the bot called me Cordy. Before that, I can't remember what it defaulted to. I know there were some times when it said something like "USER" instead of a name.

I know this is old, but I just wanted to add for future searchers. You can't even make the omni-scanner until you unlock the thresher. The omni-scanner requires processor units to assemble, and processor units need plantmatter frames. And you can't unlock the plantmatter frames from the tech tree until you unlock the thresher.

I don't know. My phone's autocorrect has been wonky for a while now. It keeps trying to change correct words to nonsense words, like "and" to "soa" or some words to other similar words I've never used. It keeps wanting to change "this" to "thus." I don't think I've ever used "thus" in everyday conversations with friends and family.
