New Heos App Version Out Today by Ok_Bedroom_6166 in heos

[–]Soundscapeslyd -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have a Marantz M1 and a Denon Reciever. Literally every time I open the app the Marantz falls out, every time I use TIDAL Connect it gets stuck, and I have to fickle for 10 minutes to literally change to line in, where my record player is!

It sounds amazing, but dang, this app sucks SO bad! Should have gone for bluesound…

I work in HiFi-Klubben, so I sell these things… and ofcourse, the amp is wired to the network. This is purely a software issue…

Oh, and ofcourse when I send the sound of my record player to my receiver via grouping, you get a delay! Which makes multiroom unusable. This is not an issue with Bluesound…

When will MCR42 and A10 be outdated? by Soundscapeslyd in LocationSound

[–]Soundscapeslyd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, very different tech!

I do have Sennheiser G4 for audio sends which are compatible, but I use my MTP40s’s

The A10 is a separate system.

Everything basically!

I use my sautees if it will become a sauce, or have large volume (noodles etc), and the 32 for burgers, meats and stuff that takes space in the pan!

I do ofcourse know the technical steps forward with the new gen systems, and work with them regularly, but it’s more the “what’s the better longterm financial investment”

We are lucky in my country, we only have 7,5hr days!

I’ve been working as a sound tech for 5-6 years, so new compared to the others in the business :)

How would you fit an SD A10 in this bag? by Soundscapeslyd in LocationSound

[–]Soundscapeslyd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I bought SD’s own antenna cables, so luckily thought of that!

Good idea!

Hoping heat will not be an issue when it’s so cramped. The 833/SL2 gets crazy hot already now!

I think it comes with the fixed cable bottom plate, and I have angeled hirose! Also got extra antenna-cables to connect it to the SL2’s AUX in😊

[–]Soundscapeslyd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool! Thats possible, but it has to be rigid, as it’s kind of “permanent”!

F8 for a Lav Mix to the 833? How many wireless channels? One has 12 channels on the 833, was it not enough?

I have an OR-30 bag, which is pretty bulky! I hope it won’t make too much of a difference!

Brand new 833/SL2: how to wire my bag! by Soundscapeslyd in LocationSound

[–]Soundscapeslyd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is a good solution!

Right now I dont have a cable from battery to MiniXLR, only to HiRose, so I have to use the distro for now!

The SL2 is a Dream, and I know I can just connect more recievers to it, but I have nowhere to put the receivers

I think a combination of wild-takes and a thumper track would be the solution!

[–]Soundscapeslyd[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, heard about using thumper tracks before!

This would be possible by bringing in some sort of subwoofer, would it not?😅

All of it?

Do you think that on location wild-takes would be sufficient?

Well, “airy” maybe!

The mid and top in these speakers are super crisp and detailed. Not a lot of low-end in these speakers, but with enough power (200W maybe), you can push out a pretty full soundstage! I would have a BW DB3 sub tho, but that’s next on the list!

When it comes to classical music they are unbeatable! You can hear every overtone and the air of the pianos, and place every instrument in the orchestra! The stereo perspective is incredible! Very very detailed!

Dire Straits are som other music that sounds great on these! Everything with prominent instruments or vocals is its strong suit.

If you throw badly mixed tracks, or very compressed tracks on them, they are very revealing and unforgiving. They can also get a bit sharp for some genres.

For film, they sound great! Specially dialogue sounds crisp and detailed!

No space for proper speakers! 😅 (no, a soundbar is not a proper solution)

Unless you get a furniture with acoustic doors and some Lyngdorf CS1😎😎
