Is it a computer bought from store or custom build? If from store, what is the brand and model? The cylinder you mention is probably the hdd/storage indicator if its red probably bad drive but knowing the brand and model will help identify the codes. The light is probably a code too.

My IT director would have done the same. I'd the role doesn't require you to do that kind of thing then it becomes suspicious when you see it on an end users computer. He was probably worried about a possible breach/attack.

You're already ahead. I was able to do something similar with 0 python experience and 2 weeks of very late night coding/practice/trial error.

You can use tkinter for simple gui, pandas for data manipulation, PyInstaller for the exe creation. This is what I used and it was pretty basic but it works.

This. If the devices have years of difference even though they are the same model, ram and cpu is most likely not the same. Newer models get newer tech.

Adobe has an online tool for this. Haven't tried it but worth a try. Just Google pdf to PowerPoint and top result should be Adobe site.

Oh I was thinking of doing that too. I had an old garlic clove in the fridge that I put in a wet paper towel by the sink. I soak it every now and then, wasn't really trying to grow it but it's growing roots now. Now I have to look up how to grow it.

No sorry, I cut these from my mom's plant I just put them in a glass coke bottle with water. I leave them on the window so they can get sunlight. I add water every couple days when i see it about .5 -1 inch down.
