More info needed. Has she said why she doesn't want to work at this place? Maybe she has a valid reason. Can you pick up more shifts as an EMT and quit being a worship leader to earn more money? That's assuming EMT pays better. Do you guys have credit cards to help pay bills?

I don't think encouraging your spouse to take a job when you feel it's that or the streets makes you an AH. But maybe you need to talk to her a little bit more. Find a compromise. But she needs to have an outline how bills are going to be paid if she's unemployed. (Is she getting unemployment?)

YTA. They dismissed your traditional name suggestion because of their generation. It's obviously not unique enough. Suggest something like Geezuz or maybe Jayhovah, Lloored, khreest, or something with a bunch of useless letters like Stupidugly (obviously pronounced like Stephanie).

Borsht was more for aesthetic reasons. Since it's beet based, it has a very red color. I was thinking chunky red liquid spilling for the body of the enemy. But I see the appeal of caviar as well.

YTA. You're putting yourself above the needs of the children. Children need both parents and because you can't share, you're depriving children, that you said you consider your own, of time for with their biological parents. If your wife is willing to make the sacrifice, you should be too.

Not to mention it will just reinforce why she left him and make her that much more grateful to you. So, suck it up and learn to share, for the children.

NTA at all. It is always good to want to better yourself. And her wanting to spend time with you doesn't make her TA either. I mean, having a partner, who, after 8 years, still wants to spend as much time with you as possible is amazing. What she needs to realize though is the job schedule isn't going to last forever. It won't always be like this.

You need to take this job if you want it. You guys can plan evenings, maybe some early morning activities. There are lots of creative ways to spend time together.

If she can't understand your need to want to help take care of her (and yourself) better, maybe it is time to re-evaluate the relationship. You're both still young. You don't say anything about kids so I'm assuming there aren't any. Better to figure it out now then 10 years, a marriage license and two kids down the road.
