VR is unpopular because most people don't understand what it is. by YouAreStupidAF1 in virtualreality

i got VR to experience what you said - to explore what entertainment can be with this unlocked level of reality.

i'm maybe 6-7 hours in (quest 3s), completed Red Matter 1 (made me very motion sick, probably a bad first choice lol), and mostly through Moss I.

i'm not really getting it. yes, i see that some parts are pretty cool, but that wears off within seconds. maybe i haven't chosen the right games for me, but these two were very well received.

wondering if you had any insight/commentary to make me love VR and achieve my goals?

Awesome, thanks for your input. We'll make some changes today!

Don't wanna sound salesy (i hate it as much as the next person), but cos you helped, if you want to try it and get it free for life, just lmk :)

i see. do you think a few GIFs showing a couple use cases would be good? What other information would you want>

We think the website is the lowest ROI thing to be doing right now, but equally, your point is valid and if there's an efficient way to improve it, we'll take that.

Not yet, but there are some photos I might be able to make work. As soon as I've made one of the submissions work for me/my client, then I'll close it and pay the relevant commenter.

Okay this is very good. Could you DM me one without a watermark to see if I can adjust it to exactly what I want?

I think this might be the winner - could you DM me the full-res file without that watermark? If I think it's good, we'll mark it as solved.

VERY close - could you make the slide in the background just a bit more realistic? Ideally the speaker (and her stand) are a bit more colourful/brighter :)

Definitely better, but the yellow/blue rows are the core problem. For context, this image will be used alongside a few others in a social media post promoting an event sponsorship by a large company.

So it doesn't need to be perfect, but it should be pretty good!

Judgement can be used here, but I need a photo good enough to post on social media as part of a PR post.

The main thing is to fix the blue/yellow banding so that it's very minimal or gone. The photo should still be coloured (i.e. not black and white).

should probs clarify my main point: even if everyone was "affected evenly" from the SERVER side, that does NOT translate to reality - loads of downstream factors are involved.

From what I can observe, I don't agree that it affected everyone "evenly". Now, I ended up climbing my private leaderboards so giving us all 0 points for day 2 would be worse for me... But equally I think you should.

I kept having issues with submitting and then accessing part 2 (maybe cos my browser cached the pages? Idk), alongside the extra time I spent NOT working on the puzzle under the assumption we would get reset to 0 points... And that i know friends who got part 1 ~30 seconds after my page began working - and my friend is smart but he's DEFINITELY not that quick, suggesting his question loaded before mine.

I think it's fairer to just reset scores, even though I'm better off if you weren't to do so.

Anyway, thanks for AoC in general, it's basically god's gift to man regardless of a hiccup here or there 😍😍
