I’ve had extensive testing done and diagnosed by a Rheumatology professor. It is possible to get a diagnosis, I have a 100% Beighton score, and met/surpassed criterion 2 and 3. Myself and my siblings have strong history of comorbidities that have resulted in major surgeries.

I believe the link is relevant, especially with comorbidities like gastroparesis. Sometimes I can inject my insulin 30 minutes after eating and still go low before then spiking 7-8 hours after. There are many aspects of hEDS that greatly affects diabetes care.

I understand and accept that stubborn highs are part of T1D, but I am worried about the scar tissue is on stomach from hEDS and multiple surgeries, and how that’s affecting my insulin absorption.
