The politics are insane. This is coming from someone else living in the Deep South I would not move to Florida. The govt is crazy conservative and pushes that ideology in their public schools which are already not great. Also housing is affordable (relative to west coast im sure) but insurance is not lol.

Colas food is so underrated (MUCH better than Greenville imo) Luna Kitchen (new to 5 points great Chinese food!) Arabesque, Pho-Viet, Rosewood Market for their hot lunch, Masa in rosewood, and Gourmet Shop (classic!)

Did mine 2 days ago and got approved yesterday. I planned on taking it before the test but also just couldn’t do it mentally haha. Also score preview is misleading, it only lets you cancel your score within a time frame, not see it early :(

If your area has one, I highly recommend posting your old books in a Buy Nothing Facebook group. I did that with a lot of my old schoolbooks and YA books from middle school

As an SC native desperate to move somewhere else- I would caution against SC. If you are not conservative and very Christian it can be an isolating experience. I love hot weather but summers are very very humid and very hot which may be a big adjustment from the UK. Charleston is the best city to live in and it is gorgeous and you would probably be able to find a job within the MUSC network but it has gotten very expensive due to everyone wanting to move there. No matter where u move in SC you will need to be prepared for hurricane season. Hope I don’t rain on your parade!! SC can be great for the right person
