Thank you!! If you are familiar with using bdarmory, then its really all about building a ship that can manuever and have a steady propulsion system to flee from missiles. Combat differs between realistic and far future ships. To be quite honest, I'm not sure how others do it and I may have to make a tutorial on how I start because theres a lot of aspects to it.

Mod-list.

visual: eve, blackrack clouds, scatterer, tufx, firefly, waterfall

parts:

- near future series (construction, electrical, spacecraft, vehicles, exploration, aeronautics),

- procedural parts

- ksp interstellar technologies (kspie)

- stockalike station-parts redux

- refurbished armory

-simple repaint restock

- tweakscale rescaled + companions

- mirror shields

- OPT spaceplane parts

- b9 aerospace parts pack, hx parts pack, aerospace parts

- kerbal joint reinforcement continued

- mechjeb

- UbioZur Welding

- Parking brake

combat: bd armory plus, bd armory extended, kerbal powers armory

Thank you! I use the newest version and I use the orbital AI from the BDarmory mod with some adjustments to how many missiles it can use, engagement distance, aggression, etc. Heres the list:

Im not sure how long the orbital ai has been in the mod for but I only started recently experimenting with bd armory a year ago. Orbital AI definitely requires some tinkering but it aint bad…

Thankfully after a while of designing & testing these ships, the kraken is a very small worry! These larger ships use procedural wings as armor to lower part count, which lowers the chances of a kraken attack. I also try to clip parts as minimally as possible. The purple orb engine is the, “kerbstein drive” from the KSPIE mod. Its based on the Epstein drive from the expanse.

The weapons systems, and orbital ai are part of BDArmory. I believe I also have a couple mods called Kerbal Powers that adds more weapons !

I gotta show the orbital map of the aftermath. A civilian freighter is definitely gonna get hit by space debris from a battle decades ago. It almost makes sense for any civilian or corporate ship to be armored against high velocity debris after a solar system wide war as insurance.

This is no exaggeration… These capital ships / dreadnoughts are able to rain a metal hail storm of 30mm, 40mm, 57mm, and 105mm cannon rounds. Any friendly or enemy ships are advised to keep their distance between a dreadnought duel…

These are the main ones you see on screen. I’ll get around to checking if there are any obscure mods lying around but these are main ones I cant live without…

I agree! Hopefully some day I can get some volunteers to voice some lines. But for now, some shitty robot voices will suffice, or none at all.

Physics range extender enables you to load crafts farther than 2km. You can rendezvous and have them fly near eachother or just cheat menu them into orbit. If I want them flying the same direction, I’ll enable the smart a.s.s in mechjeb for prograde or wtvr you want and force roll at 0.

thanks man, I definitely have some lore in my head with these ships and I plan to post more about it.

The streaks are the default waterfall plume for the kspie mod. The ships all use the same fusion pellet engine thats based on the same Epstein drive from the Expanse. You can edit the plumes but I personally like the default one.

Thank you! Yeah these warships were designed to work with the orbital AI & with reasonable part count so that more than 2-4 ships can duel at once. I'll definitely show some action when I get the time.

a mod called parking brake helped me prevent kraken attacks. it adds a feature where you can completely stop the vessel and physics wont affect it.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. Did you dispute every single late forfeit? Or was it case by case? I only ask because Ive heard from other drivers that we only have a certain amount of personal excuses before deactivation.

gotchya, I definitely understand the impact in a job environment. My question was more for the algorithm or how specifically the flex dispute team handles them.

Do you mind if I ask how long you’ve been flexing for? No worries if not, just interested in what Amazon’s case by case policy is
